Abstract
A rotary brush (20) for a cleaner (50) includes: a base member (21) having a first groove (21E), into which a cleaning body (24) is inserted, the base member being rotatable about a rotational axis; and a cap member (22) fixed to a first end portion of the base member in the axial direction and having a second groove (22E), into which the cleaning body (24) is also inserted. The cap member has a recessed portion (22C), into which a rotary member (16) is insertable.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A rotary brush comprising:
a base member having a first groove, into which a cleaning body is inserted, the base member being rotatable about a rotational axis; and a first cap member fixed to a first end portion of the base member in the axial direction and having a second groove, into which the cleaning body is also inserted; wherein the cap member has a recessed portion, into which a rotary member is insertable.
2 . The rotary brush according to claim 1 , wherein the recessed portion extends from a first end surface of the first cap member to a second end portion of the first cap member.
3 . The rotary brush according to claim 2 , wherein the recessed portion and at least a portion of the second groove overlap each other in the axial direction.
4 . The rotary brush according to claim 1 , wherein:
the first groove extends up to the first end portion of the base member; and the second groove is continuous with the first groove.
5 . The rotary brush according to claim 4 , wherein the cleaning body extends across the first groove and the second groove.
6 . The rotary brush according to claim 5 , wherein:
the first groove includes a portion that is bent in the axial direction; and the second groove has a straight shape.
7 . The rotary brush according to claim 6 , wherein the second groove extends in the axial direction.
8 . The rotary brush according to claim 5 , wherein the width of the second groove is larger than the width of the first groove.
9 . The rotary brush according to claim 1 , wherein:
the first cap member comprises a cap-body part, in which the second groove is defined; and a flange part, which is disposed at a first end portion of the cap-body part; and a first end portion of the cleaning body makes contact with the flange part in the state in which the first end portion has been inserted into the second groove.
10 . The rotary brush according to claim 9 , wherein:
the first cap member comprises a protruding part, which protrudes from a second end surface of the cap-body part in the axial direction; and the protruding part is inserted into an opening, which is defined in a first end surface of the base member.
11 . The rotary brush according to claim 10 , wherein, in the state in which the protruding part has been inserted into the opening, the first end surface of the base member and the second end surface of the cap-body part oppose each other, and the second groove is continuous with the first groove.
12 . The rotary brush according to claim 11 , wherein the first cap member comprises a projection part, which opposes at least a portion of an outer surface of the base member in the state in which the protruding part has been inserted into the opening.
13 . The rotary brush according to claim 12 , wherein the projection part extends more radially outward than the protruding part and protrudes from the cap-body part toward the base member.
14 . The rotary brush according to claim 13 , wherein:
the base member comprises a base-body part, which has the opening, and a plurality of rib parts, which protrude radially outward from an outer surface of the base-body part; the rib parts are spaced apart in a circumferential direction; and the projection part is disposed between two of the rib parts that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction.
15 . The rotary brush according to claim 1 , wherein, within a plane orthogonal to the rotational axis, the shape of an inner surface of the recessed portion is hexagonal, and the shape of an outer surface of the rotary member is hexagonal.
16 . The rotary brush according to claim 3 , wherein:
the first groove extends up to the first end portion of the base member; the second groove is continuous with the first groove; the cleaning body extends across the first groove and the second groove; the first groove includes a portion that is curved in the axial direction; the second groove has a straight shape extending in the axial direction; and the width of the second groove is larger than the width of the first groove.
17 . The rotary brush according to claim 16 , wherein:
the first cap member comprises a cap-body part, in which the second groove is defined; and a flange part, which is disposed at a first end portion of the cap-body part; a first end portion of the cleaning body makes contact with the flange part in the state in which the first end portion has been inserted into the second groove; the first cap member comprises a protruding part, which protrudes from a second end surface of the cap-body part in the axial direction; the protruding part is inserted into an opening, which is defined in a first end surface of the base member; and in the state in which the protruding part has been inserted into the opening, the first end surface of the base member and the second end surface of the cap-body part oppose each other, and the second groove is continuous with the first groove.
18 . The rotary brush according to claim 17 , wherein:
the first cap member comprises a projection part, which opposes at least a portion of an outer surface of the base member in the state in which the protruding part has been inserted into the opening; the projection part extends more radially outward than the protruding part and protrudes from the cap-body part toward the base member; the base member comprises a base-body part, which has the opening, and a plurality of rib parts, which protrude radially outward from an outer surface of the base-body part; the rib parts are spaced apart in a circumferential direction; the projection part is disposed between two of the rib parts that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction; and within a plane orthogonal to the rotational axis, the shape of an inner surface of the recessed portion is hexagonal, and the shape of an outer surface of the rotary member is hexagonal.
19 . A nozzle comprising:
a main body, which has a lower surface configured to oppose a surface to be cleaned; the rotary brush according to claim 1 , which is supported on the main body in a rotatable manner; and a motor configured to generate a rotational force for rotating the rotary brush.
20 . A cleaner comprising:
