Abstract
A ball including a microprocessor operable to execute a processor readable code to convert sensor data generated by at least one sensor to ball movement values, compare the ball movement values to ball movement threshold values, and actuate one or more light emitters or sound generators upon ball movement values satisfying the ball movement threshold values.

1 . A ball, comprising:
an illumination core, said illumination core comprises a one-piece thermoplastic elastomer sufficiently transparent to emit light as a viewable indicia, said one-piece thermoplastic elastomer encapsulating:
a radio frequency transceiver;
at least one sensor which generates sensor data that varies based on change in movement of said ball;
one or more light emitters actuatable to illuminate said illumination core;
a microprocessor communicatively coupled to a non-transitory computer readable medium containing a processor readable code, said microprocessor operable to:
record said sensor data that varies based on change in one or more ball movements;
convert said sensor data generated by said at least one sensor to ball movement values correlated to said one or more ball movements;
compare said ball movement values to ball movement threshold values; and
actuate said one or more light emitters upon satisfying said ball movement threshold values.
2 . The ball of claim 1 , further comprising an overcoat disposed over said illumination core, said overcoat having at least one area open or sufficiently transparent to transmit light from said illumination core as a viewable indicia.
3 . The ball of claim 2 , wherein said overcoat comprises an elastomer molded over to said illumination core.
4 . The ball of claim 2 , wherein said overcoat comprises an inner overcoat and an outer overcoat, said inner overcoat comprise an elastomer disposed over said illumination core, said outer overcoat comprises a plurality of pieces joined at the edges to cover said inner overcoat.
5 . The ball of claim 2 , wherein said outer overcoat comprises two pieces of leather having edges joined by a baseball stitch.
6 . The ball of claim 1 , wherein said at least one sensor comprises an accelerometer,
wherein said sensor data comprises acceleration data, wherein said ball movement value comprises acceleration magnitude values, wherein said movement threshold value comprises acceleration magnitude threshold value, wherein said acceleration magnitude values compared to said acceleration magnitude threshold value, and wherein said acceleration magnitude value in excess of said acceleration magnitude threshold value actuates said microprocessor to record said sensor data that varies based on change in movement of said ball.
7 . The ball of claim 6 , wherein said processor readable code further executable to pause recording of said sensor data during elapse of a cool down period in which said ball movement remains less than said acceleration magnitude threshold value.

The ball of claim 7 , wherein said processor readable code executable to actuate said one or more light emitters upon elapse of said cool down period in which said ball movement remains less than said acceleration magnitude threshold value to indicate said microprocessor recorded said sensor data preceding cool down period.
9 . The ball of claim 1 , wherein said processor readable code executable to save ball movement values correlated to ball movements during a ball throw.
10 . The ball of claim 9 , wherein said processor readable code executable to save ball movement values correlated to each of a plurality of ball throws as a session.
11 . The ball of claim 10 , wherein said processor readable code executable to:
superimpose a plurality of recorded sessions; calculate average ball movement values correlated to said ball movement in said plurality of sessions; and save said average ball movement values as ball throw pattern.
12 . The ball of claim 11 , wherein said processor readable code executable to:
present in a graphical user interface on a display surface of computing device a plurality of ball throw pattern icons correspondingly associated with a plurality of ball throw patterns; receive by user indications in said graphical user interface selection of one of said ball throw patterns; compare said ball movement values associated with performance of a ball throw to selected said ball throw pattern; and actuate one or more light emitters upon said ball movement values occurring during performance of said ball throw exceeding a pre-determined pattern recognition threshold value.

The ball of claim 1 , further comprising a computing device including a non-transitory computer readable medium containing said processor readable code executable to display a graphical user interface on a display surface, said graphical user interface configured to receive user indications to actuate said illumination core of said ball.
14 . The ball of claim 13 , wherein said processor readable code upon actuation of said illumination core to actuate one or more light emitters to indicate that said microprocessor ready to record said sensor data.
15 . The ball of claim 14 , wherein said processor readable code executable to receive user indications in said graphical user interface to stop recording of said sensor data that varies based on change in said ball movement.
16 . The ball of claim 14 , wherein said processor readable code further executable to display a cool down period icon which by user indications activates said ball to generate sensor data during each of a plurality of ball throws interrupted by a cool down period between each ball throw.
17 . The ball of claim 16 , wherein said microprocessor pauses recording of said sensor data during elapse of a cool down period.
18 . The ball of claim 17 , wherein said processor readable code executable to actuate said one or more light emitters upon elapse of said cool down period to indicate said microprocessor recorded said sensor data preceding said cool down period.
