Claims

Abstract

A food container and lid sorting, storage, and dispensing device is provided. The device is comprised of a body with at least one opening and at least one slot that are each comprised of a channel that stores lids and bowls in a vertical, stacked manner. When a user desires to dispense a bowl and/or lid from the device, the user can press a button of the device to disengage a fastener within each channel and wherein at least one wheel pushes the bowl to an opening/slot, wherein the bowl/lid can then be grabbed by the user.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device comprising:
 a body comprised of an opening and a dispensing slot;   a channel positioned below the opening, the channel connected to the dispensing slot;   a button;   a fastener; and   a wheel.   
     
     
         2 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 1 , wherein the body is comprised of a top wall. 
     
     
         3 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 2 , wherein the opening is positioned on the top wall. 
     
     
         4 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 2 , wherein the top wall is comprised of a drying mat. 
     
     
         5 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 4 , wherein the drying mat is comprised of a rubber material. 
     
     
         6 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 2 , wherein the top wall is comprised of a vertical divider. 
     
     
         7 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener is comprised of a spring-loaded fastener. 
     
     
         8 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 1 , wherein the wheel is comprised of a cam wheel. 
     
     
         9 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 1 , wherein the button disengages the fastener. 
     
     
         10 . A food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device comprising:
 a body comprised of a first opening, a first insertion slot, a first lid dispensing slot and a dispensing slot;   a first channel positioned below the opening;   a second channel positioned below the first insertion slot;   a button;   a fastener; and   a wheel.   
     
     
         11 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 10 , wherein the fastener is positioned within the first channel. 
     
     
         12 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 10 , wherein the fastener is positioned within the second channel. 
     
     
         13 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 10  further comprised of a ramp. 
     
     
         14 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 13 , wherein the ramp connects the first channel to the dispensing slot. 
     
     
         15 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 10 , wherein the button disengages the fastener. 
     
     
         16 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 10 , wherein the body is comprised of a foot. 
     
     
         17 . The food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device of  claim 16 , wherein the foot is comprised of a height-adjustable foot. 
     
     
         18 . A method of using a food container and lid sorting, storage and dispensing device, the method comprising the following steps:
 providing a food container and lid sorting, storage, and dispensing device comprised of an opening and a first channel positioned below the opening, wherein the channel is comprised of a first fastener and a first wheel; and an insertion slot with a second channel positioned below the insertion slot, wherein the second channel is comprised of a second fastener and a second wheel, a bowl dispensing slot, and a lid dispensing slot;   dropping a bowl through the first opening;   pressing a button of the food container and lid sorting, storage, and dispensing device to disengage the first fastener;   grabbing the bowl from the bowl dispensing slot;   dropping a lid through the insertion slot;   pressing a button of the food container and lid sorting, storage, and dispensing device to disengage the second fastener; and   grabbing the lid from the lid dispensing slot.   
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the first fastener is comprised of a spring-loaded fastener. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the second fastener is comprised of a spring-loaded fastener.
