Abstract

A system and method to improve radio control vehicle tire performance has a hard foam assembly. The hard foam assembly has a hard foam layer and at least one adhesive layer attached to the hard foam layer, wherein the hard foam assembly is secured to an RC wheel. The system also has a foam assembly that has an elasticized tube that is filled with a plurality of foam pieces disposed within the elasticized tube and the elasticized tube is fitted in the RC tire. A weight assembly is also provided to be placed either around the outside of the hard foam assembly or the inside surface of an RC tire. A customization kit is provided to allow a user to customize the performance of the RC vehicle.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system to improve radio control vehicle tire performance comprising:
 a hard foam assembly; said hard foam assembly having a hard foam layer and at least one adhesive layer disposed on said hard foam layer, wherein said hard foam assembly is secured to an RC wheel; a foam assembly; said foam assembly having an elasticized tube; and a plurality of foam pieces disposed within said elasticized tube, wherein said foam assembly is fitted within an RC tire.

         2 . The system according to claim 1 wherein said plurality of foam pieces are memory foam pieces.

         3 . The system according to claim 1 further comprising at least one weight assembly disposed on an exposed side of said hard foam assembly wherein said weight assembly has a plurality of round weights disposed thereon.

         4 . The system according to claim 1 further comprising at least one weight assembly disposed on an inside portion of said RC tire wherein said weight assembly has a plurality of round weights disposed thereon.

         5 . A custom RC tire kit to improve radio control vehicle tire performance comprising:
 a hard foam assembly; said hard foam assembly having a hard foam layer and at least one adhesive layer disposed on said hard foam layer; a foam assembly; said foam assembly having an elasticized tube; a plurality of foam pieces adapted to fit within said elasticized tube; a weight assembly; said weight assembly having a plurality of round weights disposed thereon; and an instruction set for providing user directions for customizing the performance of RC tires.

         6 . The system according to claim 1 wherein said elasticized tube is a mesh tube.

         7 . A method to improve radio control vehicle tire performance comprising the steps of:
 obtaining a custom RC tire kit,   said custom RC tire kit comprising;
 a hard foam assembly,
 said hard foam assembly having a hard foam layer and at least one adhesive layer disposed on said hard foam layer,
 a foam assembly,
 said foam assembly having an elasticized tube,
 a plurality of foam pieces adapted to fit within said elasticized tube,
 a weight assembly;
 said weight assembly having a plurality of round weights disposed thereon; and
   trimming said hard foam assembly to fit around an RC tire,   trimming said weight assembly to fit around an inside diameter of said RC tire or an outside diameter of said hard foam assembly;   filling said foam assembly with said plurality of foam pieces until a selected stiffness is achieved;   attaching said hard foam assembly to said RC wheel;   attaching said weight assembly to either said inside diameter of said RC tire or to said outside diameter of said hard foam assembly;
       hard foam;
 inserting said foam assembly into said RC tire; and
 installing a rim onto said RC wheel.

         8 . The method according to claim 7 wherein said elasticized tube is a mesh tube.
