An apparatus for cleaning

Abstract

Disclosed is a cleaning apparatus. The apparatus has a handle adapted to releasably engage with a connection member: a connection member adapted to releasably engage with a handle, a cleaning head and a stand; a cleaning head adapted to releasably engage with the connection member; and a stand adapted to releasably engage with the connection member; the apparatus arranged such that when the handle, connection member and cleaning head are engaged they form a handheld cleaning device which is able to releasably engage with the stand for storage.

         28 . A cleaning apparatus comprising:
 a handle;   a cleaning head;   a connection member adapted to couple to the handle and the cleaning head; and   a stand adapted to releasably engage with the connection member, the stand configured to engage a surface or wall in use;   
       wherein the handle is releasably coupled with the cleaning head to form a handheld cleaning device, and the connection member is configured to releasably engage with the stand to enable storage of the handheld cleaning device to the surface or wall. 
     
     
         29 . The cleaning apparatus of  claim 28  wherein, the connection member is adapted at a first end to engage with the handle and adapted at an opposing second end to releasably engage with the cleaning head. 
     
     
         30 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein at least a portion of the handle and cleaning head are hollow and fluidly connected to each other. 
     
     
         31 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the stand comprises a connection member engaging magnetic member; and
 a magnetic base;   
       the stand configured such that when the connection member engaging magnetic member and the magnetic base are arranged on opposite sides of the surface or wall they are held in place by a magnetic connection between the connection member engaging magnetic member and the magnetic base. 
     
     
         32 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 31 , wherein the connection member engaging magnetic member includes a first concave end, the concave end shaped to form an elongate U-shaped channel that is able to receive at least a portion of the connection member of the cleaning device within the channel. 
     
     
         33 . A cleaning apparatus of  claim 28 , wherein the stand includes a base portion and a connection member engaging member, the base portion is adapted to engage with the surface or wall and includes one or more of a suction cup, waterproof adhesive, hook and loop, putty or cement material, and the connection member engaging member is adapted to releasably engage with the connection member. 
     
     
         34 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the apparatus further includes a cleaning cloth or towel containing a piece of magnetic material which enables the cloth or towel to releasably engage with a magnetic region of the stand. 
     
     
         35 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the connection member comprises a magnetic component. 
     
     
         36 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the connection member is a metal collar adapted at a first end to engage with the cleaning head and adapted at an opposing second end to engage with the handle. 
     
     
         37 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the connection member is cylindrical or a tapered cylinder. 
     
     
         38 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the connection member is integrated with the handle. 
     
     
         39 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 38 , wherein the connection member includes a magnetic component configured to releasably engage with a magnetic stand. 
     
     
         40 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the cleaning head and handle are adapted to releasably engage with each other. 
     
     
         41 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the handle comprises one or more of the following:
 (i) a base and an elongated shaft which are adapted to releasably engage with each other;   (ii) a base and an elongated shaft which are adapted to releasably engage with each other and wherein there is a seal between the base and the elongated shaft; and   (iii) a base and an elongated shaft and the elongated shaft and connection member are adapted to releasably engage with each other.   
     
     
         42 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the cleaning head comprises at least one of the following:
 (i) a neck and a brush head with bristles;   (ii) a neck and a brush head with bristles and the neck is adapted to releasably engage with the connection member or handle, and the brush head; and   (iii) a neck and a brush head with bristles and the brush head has a central aperture.   
     
     
         43 . A cleaning apparatus according to  claim 28 , wherein the handle includes a hollow portion and the hollow portion is shaped to receive the stand. 
     
     
         44 . A magnetic stand when used with the cleaning device according to  claim 28 , the magnetic stand comprising a first magnetic member adapted for releasable engagement with the cleaning device; and a magnetic base; the stand configured such that when the first magnetic member and the magnetic base are arranged on opposite sides of a surface or wall they are held in place by a magnetic connection between the first magnetic member and the magnetic base, and the first magnetic member is adapted to releasably retain the cleaning device. 
     
     
         45 . The magnetic stand of  claim 44  wherein the first magnetic member engaging magnetic member is at least partially cylindrical and includes a first concave end, the concave end shaped to form an elongate U-shaped channel that is able to receive at least a portion of the cleaning device within the channel. 
     
     
         46 . A cleaning device comprising:
 a handle and a cleaning head that are releasably coupled together by a connection member, the connection member is adapted to engage at a first end with the cleaning head and adapted to engage at an opposing second end with the handle, wherein the connection member is configured to releasably engage with a stand in use to enable the cleaning device to be stored and retained against a surface or wall.   
     
     
         47 . A cleaning device according to  claim 46 , wherein the connection member is releasably engaged with at least one of the cleaning head or the handle.
