Infant Sleep Bag

Abstract

An infant body bag for receiving an infant to assist the infant in sleeping peacefully, while enabling an easy placement in and removal from the infant body bag of the infant by caretakers.

1 . An infant sleep bag comprising:
 a. a main body, the main body having a top portion and a bottom portion;   b. a zipper line, the zipper line being attached to the main body at the bottom portion;   c. an elastic band, the elastic band being attached to the main body at the top portion;   d. with the main body being shaped to receive an infant body;   e. with the elastic band and top portion being configured to permit a head of the infant body to protrude from the top portion after the infant body is received by the main body; and   f. with the bottom portion configured to be slid up the infant body so that a portion of a torso of the infant body protrudes from the bottom portion.   
     
     
         2 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 1 , with the main body being flexibly cylindrical in shape. 
     
     
         3 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 1 , with the elastic band being sewn into the top portion. 
     
     
         4 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 1 , with the main body having a diameter of less than 12″ 
     
     
         5 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 1 , with the main body having a diameter of between 8-20″. 
     
     
         6 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 1 , with the first opening being smaller than the second opening. 
     
     
         7 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 1 , with the main body comprising a pair of side openings, with the side openings configured to receive hands of the infant body. 
     
     
         8 . The infant sleep bag of  claim 7 , with the pair of side openings each having an elastic channel to conform to diameters of wrists or the hands of the infant body.
