Abstract

A device for supporting the head of a beautician's chair occupant, including a generally Π-shaped frame portion, a generally U-shaped headrest portion operationally connected to the generally Π-shaped frame portion, and a flexible chair-engaging strap operationally connected to the generally II-shaped frame portion. The generally Π-shaped frame portion and the generally U-shaped headrest portion are made of memory foam.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . A device for supporting the head of a beautician's chair occupant, comprising:
 a generally Π-shaped frame portion;   a generally U-shaped headrest portion operationally connected to the generally Π-shaped frame portion; and   a flexible chair-engaging strap operationally connected to the generally Π-shaped frame portion;   wherein the generally Π-shaped frame portion and the generally U-shaped headrest portion are made of memory foam.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of structural support members disposed within the generally Π-shaped frame portion and the generally U-shaped headrest portion. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the flexible chair engaging strap further comprises first and second strap portions. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 3 , wherein each respective strap portion further comprises a buckle portion. 
     
     
         5 . An assembly for supporting the head of the occupant of a beautician's chair, comprising:
 a frame portion;   a connection assembly operationally connected to the frame portion for securing the frame portion to a chair;   a headrest portion operationally connected to the frame portion; and   wherein the frame portion and the connection assembly are made of memory foam.   
     
     
         6 . The assembly of  claim 5  wherein the connection assembly is at least one flexible strap. 
     
     
         7 . The assembly of  claim 5  wherein the frame portion is operationally connected to the headrest portion via an armature assembly. 
     
     
         8 . The assembly of  claim 7  wherein the armature assembly further comprises:
 a first elongated member pivotably connected to the frame portion; 
 a first joint pivotably connected to the first elongated member; 
 a second elongated member pivotably connected to the first joint; 
 a second joint pivotably connected to the second elongated member; 
 a third elongated member pivotably connected to the second joint; 
 a third joint pivotably connected to the third elongated member; 
 a fourth elongated member pivotably connected to the third joint; 
 a third joint pivotably connected to the third elongated member and to the headrest portion. 
 
     
     
         9 . The assembly of  claim 5  wherein the frame portion is generally Π-shaped wherein the headrest portion is generally U-shaped.
