Abstract
A pump mechanism includes a support assembly, a pump, and a connecting member. The support assembly may include an inlet and an outlet. The pump may be coupled with the support assembly such that activation of the pump moves liquid from a first location coupled with the inlet to a second location coupled with the outlet. Further, the connecting member may be coupled with at least one of the support assembly and the pump to limit rotation of the support assembly and the pump during activation of the pump in an installed orientation. Additionally, activating the pump generates suction within the support assembly to move liquid into the inlet and out of the outlet of the support assembly.

a support assembly having an inlet and an outlet; a pump coupled with the support assembly such that activation of the pump moves liquid from a first location coupled with the inlet to a second location coupled with the outlet; and a connecting member coupled with at least one of the support assembly and the pump to limit rotation of the support assembly and the pump during activation of the pump in an installed orientation.
2 . The pump mechanism of claim 1 , wherein activating the pump generates suction within the support assembly to move liquid into the inlet and out of the outlet of the support assembly.

The pump mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the connecting member includes a first aperture and a second aperture; the first aperture is disposed at a first end of the connecting member; the second aperture is disposed at a second end of the connecting member; the first end is opposite the second end; and the first aperture is selectively coupled with the support assembly or pump.
4 . The pump mechanism of claim 3 , wherein the second aperture is a slot; and the slot is configured to at least partially receive a fastener in the installed orientation to adjustably connect with a mating device such that the connecting member limits rotation of the support assembly and the pump with respect to the mating device during activation.

The pump mechanism of claim 3 , the pump further comprising a drive shaft; wherein the second aperture of the connecting member is selectively connectable with a mating device in the installed orientation to rotate the drive shaft; and rotation of the drive shaft activates the pump to draw liquid into the inlet. wherein a powered drill is coupled with the drive shaft; and activation of the powered drill rotates the drive shaft and activates the pump to move liquid through the support assembly.
6 . The pump mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the support assembly is rigidly connected to the pump.

The pump mechanism of claim 1 , the pump further comprising a drive shaft, wherein a first end of the connecting member is rigidly coupled with the support assembly and a second end of the connecting member is adjustably coupled with a powered drill in the installed orientation to rotate the drive shaft in activating the pump.

The pump mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the support assembly comprises a base selectively mounted to the pump; the base includes an inlet channel and an outlet channel; the inlet channel is disposed substantially perpendicular to the outlet channel; and the inlet channel is coupled with the inlet of the support assembly.
9 . The pump mechanism of claim 8 , the base further comprising:
a support portion; a neck portion, and a connecting portion; wherein the support portion is disposed coaxially with the neck portion; the support portion is rigidly connected to the pump; the neck portion is selectively coupled with a liquid source; and the connecting portion is coupled with an inlet of the pump.
10 . The pump mechanism of claim 1 , wherein an outlet of the pump is coupled with a filter element to filter liquid removed via the pump.
11 . The pump mechanism of claim 10 , wherein the filter element is connected with and disposed substantially parallel to the connecting member.
12 . The pump mechanism of claim 1 , wherein the connecting member substantially limits relative rotational movement of the pump in the installed orientation with respect to a drill rotatably connected with the pump such that the torque generated operates the pump in generating suction within the support assembly.
13 . A pump mechanism, comprising:
a support assembly including an inlet and an outlet; a pump selectively mounted to and in fluid connection with the support assembly to move liquid from the inlet to the outlet; and a connecting member to substantially limit rotation of the pump in an installed orientation during activation, the connecting member comprising:
a first end including an aperture rigidly connected with at least one of the support assembly and the pump; and
a second end including a slot selectively connected with a driving mechanism to activate the pump.
14 . The pump mechanism of claim 13 , wherein the slot is configured to receive a fastener in a plurality of locations along the slot to connect the pump to the driving mechanism.
15 . The pump mechanism of claim 13 , wherein the slot is disposed substantially parallel to the connecting member.
16 . The pump mechanism of claim 13 , wherein the first end of the connecting member is fixedly coupled with the pump in the installed orientation.
17 . A pump mechanism, comprising:
a support assembly comprising a base and a routing member; a pump configured to move liquid through the support assembly; a connecting member including a first end rigidly coupled with at least one of the support assembly and the pump to limit rotation of the support assembly and the pump during activation of the pump in an installed orientation; wherein the base, the routing member, and the pump are coupled via liquid seal; the support assembly is rigidly connected with the pump; and activating the pump moves liquid from the base, through the routing member, and out of the pump.
18 . The pump mechanism of claim 17 , wherein the pump is operable via a single hand.
19 . The pump mechanism of claim 18 , wherein a powered drill is coupled with a drive shaft of the pump; rotation of the drive shaft activates the pump; and the connecting member is coupled with the powered drill in the installed orientation to limit rotational movement of the pump, the support assembly, and the powered drill.
