Abstract
A structural member for building fabrication, includes at least two layers of structural cement panels fastened together to have a common, aligned length and a common, aligned width. A building frame is provided, including a plurality of columns each having a lower end and an upper end, a plurality of beams each secured to at least one of the columns, each of the columns and beams is made of a plurality of layers of structural cement panels fastened together to have a common, aligned length and a common, aligned width.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A structural member for building fabrication, comprising:
at least two layers of structural cement panels fastened together to have a common, aligned length and a common, aligned width.
2 . The structural member of claim 1 , including at least three layers of structural cement panels fastened together.
3 . The structural member of claim 1 , wherein said layers are fastened together using chemical adhesive.
4 . The structural member of claim 1 , wherein said layers are fastened together with threaded fasteners.
5 . The structural member of claim 1 , further including at least one layer of steel located between adjacent layers of said at least two layers of structural cement panel and fastened to said adjacent layers.
6 . The structural member of claim 1 , wherein members of said at least two layers are provided in varying lengths secured together in lengthwise staggered fashion to provide a member with a length greater than eight feet long.
7 . The structural member of claim 1 , wherein members of said at least two layers have extensions extending beyond an end of the member for securing to adjacent members in a tongue and groove arrangement.
8 . The structural member of claim 1 , further including gaps in said member created by using panels of varying lengths.
9 . A building frame, comprising:
a plurality of columns each having a lower end and an upper end; a plurality of beams each secured to at least one of said columns; each of said columns and beams made of a plurality of layers of structural cement panels fastened together to have a common, aligned length and a common, aligned width.
10 . The building frame of claim 9 , wherein said beams are configured so that each said panel is oriented so that a width of said panel projects vertically.
11 . The building frame of claim 9 , wherein at least one of said columns, and at least one of said beams are configured by at least four layers of structural cement panels fastened together.
12 . The building frame of claim 9 , wherein said layers of said columns and beams are fastened together using chemical adhesive.
13 . The building frame of claim 9 , wherein said layers are fastened together with threaded fasteners.
14 . The building frame of claim 9 , further including in at least one of said columns and at least one of said beams, a layer of steel located between adjacent layers of said at least two layers of structural cement panel and fastened to said adjacent layers.
15 . The building frame of claim 9 , wherein members of said at least two layers are provided in varying lengths secured together in lengthwise staggered fashion to provide a member with a length greater than eight feet long.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
