Exercise apparatus
Abstract
The present invention is directed to an exercise apparatus that includes a longitudinally extending support member and a pair of bar padded members attached transversely to the support member. The longitudinally extending support member includes one or more openings in a spaced-apart configuration along the support member configured to be used to attach the exercise device to a vertical structure, and the pair of bar members are arranged in a spaced-apart and substantially parallel configuration with respect to one another along the support member to allow the device to be used to perform exercises. For example, the exercise apparatus is configured to be used to perform physical exercises that include but are not limited to nordic curls, bulgarian split squats, elevated push ups, copenhagen, sit ups, straight leg elevated sit ups, and elevated glute bridges.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An exercise apparatus comprising:
a longitudinally extending support member including one or more openings in a spaced-apart configuration disposed along the support member; and at least two bar members attached transversely to the support member,
wherein the two bar members are arranged in a spaced-apart and substantially parallel configuration with respect to one another along the support member.
2 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the two bar members are each at least partially padded with a cushioning material.
3 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the support member is substantially rectangularly-shaped and includes a low-profile thickness.
4 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the low-profile thickness is within a range of about ¼ inch and about 1 inch.
5 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bar members are welded to the support member.
6 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least two bar members are removably attached to the support member via a fastener.
7 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the support member is attachable to a vertical structure.
8 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the support member is removably attachable to a vertical structure via a fastener.
9 . The exercise apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the supported vertical structure includes a wall surface, a pole, or an upright exercise rig.
10 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein one or more openings of the one or more openings of the support member substantially align with one or more openings on a vertical structure to secure the exercise apparatus to the vertical structure.
11 . The exercise apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the support member includes at least one attachment member for removably securing a secondary exercise device to the exercise apparatus.
12 . The exercise apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the attachment member is disposed in-between padding material that is partially covering a bar member.
13 . An exercise apparatus comprising:
a longitudinally extending support member including one or more openings in a spaced-apart configuration disposed along the support member; and at least two bar members attached transversely to the support member,
wherein the two bar members are arranged in a spaced-apart and substantially parallel configuration with respect to one another along the support member, and
wherein each of the two bar members include padding material in a spaced-apart configuration that leaves exposed a portion of the bar member, and the exposed portion of the bar member is secured to the support member.
14 . The exercise apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the at least two bar members are welded to the support member.
15 . The exercise apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the at least two bar members are removably attached to the support member via a fastener.
16 . The exercise apparatus of claim 13 , wherein one or more openings of the one or more openings of the support member substantially align with one or more openings on a vertical structure to secure the exercise apparatus to the vertical structure.
17 . The exercise apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the support member includes at least one attachment member for removably securing a secondary exercise device to the exercise apparatus.
18 . The exercise apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the support member is substantially rectangularly-shaped and including a substantially flat rear surface.
19 . The exercise apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the exercise apparatus is configured to be used to perform physical exercises that include at least nordic curls, bulgarian split squats, elevated push ups, copenhagen, sit ups, straight leg elevated sit ups, and elevated glute bridges.
20 . An exercise system comprising:
an upright exercise rig including at least one vertical structure member; and an exercise apparatus, comprising,
a longitudinally extending support member including one or more openings in a spaced-apart configuration disposed along the support member, the one or more openings of the support member substantially alignable with one or more openings on the vertical structure member to secure the exercise apparatus to the vertical structure member; and
at least two bar members attached transversely to the support member,
wherein the two bar members are arranged in a spaced-apart and substantially parallel configuration with respect to one another along the support member, and
wherein each of the two bar members include padding material in a spaced-apart configuration that leaves exposed a portion of the bar member, and the exposed portion of the bar member is secured to the support member.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
