Abstract

An improved M1911 handgun is disclosed. The improved M1911 handgun contains a handle containing a lower end, and a magazine well formed in the handle and adapted to receive and hold a double stacked magazine, wherein the inner cross-sectional profile of the magazine well is same from the lower end of the handle to a top of a frame of the improved M1911 handgun.

         13 . A trigger assembly comprising:
 a trigger bow;   a first trigger pad removably coupled with the trigger bow; and   an over travel screw removably coupled with the first trigger pad.   
     
     
         14 . The trigger assembly of  claim 13  further comprising a second trigger pad, wherein the second trigger pad is larger than the first trigger pad. 
     
     
         15 . The trigger assembly of  claim 14  further comprising a pin configured to couple the first trigger pad or a second trigger pad with the trigger bow. 
     
     
         16 . The trigger assembly of  claim 13 , wherein the over travel screw comprises a surface configured to abut a safety of a firearm. 
     
     
         17 . The trigger assembly of  claim 13 , wherein the over travel screw and the trigger bow are removably coupled with a rear surface of the first trigger pad. 
     
     
         18 . The trigger assembly of  claim 15 , wherein the over travel screw and the trigger bow are removably coupled with a rear surface of the second trigger pad.
