Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A closure assembly for a beverage container, at least comprising a lid having an opening and a closure for repeatably closing the opening, the closure disposed on the lid;
 wherein the lid has an outer side and an inner side and the opening has an opening edge and an opening plane formed by the opening edge; wherein the closure comprises at least one base part, a tab, and a cover; wherein the base part comprises a frame part, the frame part being disposed at the opening edge; wherein the frame part further comprises a window; wherein the tab is pivotably connected to the frame part at a first axis of rotation; wherein, when the cover is in a starting position, the closure assembly closes the window and is connected to the frame part pivotably at a second axis of rotation by a hinge; and wherein the tab is connected permanently to the cover by a guiding device; wherein the cover is configured such that, when the tab pivots about the first axis of rotation, the cover can pivot about the second axis of rotation at the hinge to an opening position; and wherein the window is configured to be open such that movement of the cover to the opening position allows liquid to flow from a first side of the lid to a second side of the lid.

         2 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the tab and the cover rotate between the starting position and the opening position in a common direction of turning about the first axis of rotation or the second axis of rotation.

         3 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first axis of rotation and the second axis of rotation are parallel to each other.

         4 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the frame part and the cover form a sealing surface closing the window in the starting position.

         5 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the guiding device comprises at least one guide path situated on the cover and at least one guide pin engaging with the guide path and arranged on the tab, and the guide pin is movable along the guide path while pivoting the tab and the cover.

         6 . The closure assembly of claim 5 , wherein, when the cover is in the starting position, the at least one guide pin is situated in the starting position in a locking position on the cover, and the guide pin only enters the guide path upon pivoting of the tab about the first axis of rotation from the locking position, and the pivoting of the cover
 wherein the cover is configured to pivot about the second axis of rotation only after the at least one guide pin enters the guide path.

         7 . The closure assembly of  claim 6 , wherein the guide path extends in a direction transverse to the first axis of rotation and transverse to the second axis of rotation or the hinge;
 wherein, when in the starting position the first axis of rotation is situated between a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is at the second axis of rotation or the hinge, and wherein the second portion is at a projection of the guide pin and the locking position.

         8 . The closure assembly of claim 7 , wherein, when the tab is in a maximum pivoted end position, the at least one guide pin is situated between the first portion and the second portion.

         9 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the tab is connected to the base part in the starting position by a seal, wherein the connection created by the seal is broken when the tab pivots around the first axis of rotation.

         10 . The closure assembly of claim 1 further comprising a first seal running around the opening, the first seal being situated between the inner side and a bearing surface of the frame part.

         11 . The closure assembly of claim 1 further comprising a second seal running around the window at least in the starting position, the second seal being situated between the frame part and the cover.

         12 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the frame part is captively attached to the lid along the opening edge.

         13 . The closure assembly of claim 1 , wherein the closure is configured to form a repeatable gas-tight closing of the opening when in the starting position.

         14 . A closure element comprising at least one base part, a tab, and a cover;
 wherein the base part comprises a frame part having a window; wherein the tab is pivotably connected to the frame part by a first axis of rotation; wherein the cover in a starting position of the closure assembly closes the window and is connected to the frame part pivotably by a second axis of rotation or by a hinge; and wherein the tab is connected permanently to the cover by a guiding device.

         15 . (canceled)

         16 . A method for repeatably operating an opening of a beverage container having a closure assembly,
 wherein the closure assembly comprises at least one lid having an opening as well as a closure for repeatably closing the opening, the closure disposed on the lid; wherein the lid has an outer side and an inner side and the opening has an opening edge and an opening plane formed by the opening edge; wherein the closure comprises at least one base part, a tab, and a cover; wherein the base part comprises a frame part having a window, arranged at the opening edge; wherein the tab is pivotably connected to the frame part by a first axis of rotation; wherein the cover is connected to the frame part pivotably by a second axis of rotation within a hinge; wherein the tab is connected permanently to the cover by a guiding device; wherein the method, starting from a starting position in which the window is closed by the cover, comprises: pivoting the tab about the first axis of rotation,
 wherein pivoting the tab about the first axis of rotation pivots the cover about the second axis of rotation around the hinge until the cover reaches an open position to open the window
 wherein, while the window is open, liquid can flow from a first side of the lid to a second side of the lid through the window; and
   pivoting the tab and the cover back in order to close the window once again.
