Abstract

A functional medical gown for patients of all ages and genders. The medical gown has a design and can come in different colors for improving the aesthetics of the gown. The gown has a releasable seam on the rear panel thereof wherein the seam has a hook fastener portion and a loop fastener portion, wherein the hook fastener portion overlaps the loop fastener portion. The seam can be released by detaching the hook fastener portion and the loop fastener portion for accessing an opening in the rear panel. The opening allows the rear panel to be rolled and allows a user (i.e., another) to access undergarments, skin, incisions, wounds, private parts, et. al. of a wearer of the gown easily without disrobing the gown. The gown helps improve a patient's mood while at a hospital or other medical care facility.
