Animal Waste Collection Assembly And Methods Of Use Thereof

Abstract

The current invention includes a waste collection assembly having a collector that forms a channel to transmit waste to a detachable receptacle, such as a plastic bag. Waste, and preferably animal waste, can be collected and then deposited in the plastic bag receptacle of the invention which can further be detached from the collector and discarded and replaced with a fresh bag.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A waste collection assembly comprising:
 a collector configured to collect and transmit waste having:
 a body formed by an outer and inner surface; 
 a channel; 
 a forked surface having a plurality of tines positioned along the bottom front surface of the said collector; 
 a pole adaptor having a coupler position; 
   a receptacle configured secure the waste transmitted through the channel;   at least one coupler configured to secure said receptacle to the terminal portion of said collector; and   a pole configured to be secured with said pole adaptor through said coupler position.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly of  claim 1 , wherein said receptacle comprises a plastic bag. 
     
     
         3 . The assembly of  claim 2 , wherein said coupler comprises:
 a catch positioned along the bottom surface of said collector body and configured to secure said plastic bag to the terminal portion of said collector.   at least one notch positioned on the upper surface of said body and configured to secure said plastic bag to the terminal portion of said collector.   
     
     
         4 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising a lower guide extension positioned on the bottom portion of the collector and configured to extend into said receptacle. 
     
     
         5 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising an upper guide extension positioned on the top portion of the collector and configured to extend into said receptacle. 
     
     
         6 . The assembly of  claim 1 , wherein said collector, coupler, pole adaptor and said pole comprise a unitary integral component. 
     
     
         7 . The assembly of  claim 1 , wherein said pole comprises an extendable pole. 
     
     
         8 . The assembly of  claim 1 , wherein said pole adaptor comprises a rotationally adjustable pole adaptor. 
     
     
         9 . The assembly of  claim 1 , wherein said pole is secured with said pole adaptor and positioned at approximately a 30° to 60° degree angle relative to said collector when positioned along a horizontal axis. 
     
     
         10 . A waste collection device comprising:
 a collector configured to collect and transmit waste having:
 a body formed by an outer and inner surface; 
 a channel; 
 a forked surface having a plurality of tines positioned along the bottom front surface of the said collector; 
   a receptacle configured secure the waste transmitted through said channel; and   at least one coupler configured to secure said receptacle to the terminal portion of said collector.   
     
     
         11 . The device of  claim 10 , wherein said receptacle comprises a plastic bag. 
     
     
         12 . The device of  claim 11 , wherein said coupler comprises:
 a catch positioned along the bottom surface of said collector body and configured to secure said plastic bag to the terminal portion of said collector.   at least one notch positioned on the upper surface of said body and configured to secure said plastic bag to the terminal portion of said collector.   
     
     
         13 . The device of  claim 10 , further comprising an upper guide extension and/or lower guide extension configured to extend into said receptacle. 
     
     
         14 . The device of  claim 10 , further comprising a pole configured to be secured with a pole adaptor on said collector. 
     
     
         15 . The device of  claim 14 , wherein said pole adaptor comprises an integral pole adaptor positioned on the top surface of said collector and extending beyond the terminal plane of said channel. 
     
     
         16 . The device of  claim 14 , wherein said pole is secured with said pole adaptor and positioned at approximately a 30° to 60° degree angle relative to said collector when positioned along a horizontal axis. 
     
     
         17 . A system for collecting animal waste comprising:
 a collector configured to collect and transmit animal waste having:
 a body formed by an outer and inner surface; 
 a channel; 
 a forked surface having a plurality of tines positioned along the bottom front surface of the said collector; 
 a pole adaptor; 
   a detachable receptacle configured secure the animal waste transmitted through the channel, wherein said detachable receptacle comprises a plastic bag;   a catch positioned along the bottom surface of said collector body and configured to secure said plastic bag to the terminal portion of said collector;   at least one notch positioned on the upper surface of said body and configured to secure said plastic bag to the terminal portion of said collector.   a pole configured to be secured with said pole adaptor.   
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 17 , further comprising an upper guide extension and/or lower guide extension configured to extend into said plastic bag. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 17 , wherein said collector, catch, notch, pole adaptor and said pole comprise a unitary integral component. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 17 , wherein said pole comprises an extendable pole.
