Shooting facility
Abstract
A shooting range system, apparatus, and method. The system includes a facility that houses the shooting range which includes a trap for launching targets, a screen for presenting an image, a computing device for controlling the system, and a moveable platform. The moveable platform is moved by a movement device controlled by the computing device and can move in relation to the image along at least one axis. The apparatus includes a moveable platform and a computing device for controlling the platform, wherein the platform can move along at least one axis. The method includes the steps of receiving a user's desired shooting location, analyzing the media inventory, matching the desired location with the media inventory if above a threshold or otherwise acquiring media above the threshold, and presenting the media set with at least one presentation system.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A shooting range system comprising:
a facility for housing a shooting range;
wherein the shooting range includes:
at least one trap for launching a clay target;
at least one screen for presenting an image;
wherein the image is a moving or a still image;
at least one computing device;
wherein the at least one computing device is coupled to the at least one screen;
wherein the computing device is configured to present the moving or still image;
a movable platform;
wherein the movable platform can be moved in at least one dimension or along at least one axis;
wherein the movable platform is controlled by the at least one computing device;
wherein the movable platform is moved by at least one movement device, and the at least one movement device is controlled by the at least one computing device; and
wherein the movable platform moves in relation to the moving or still image.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the facility is climate controlled.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the climate control can go down to at least 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and up to at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit;
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the shooting range comprises a shooting field.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the shooting field comprises at least one of:
a skeet field, a trap field, an international trap field, a universal trap field, an international skeet field, a five-stand field, or a sporting clays field.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the screen is a projection screen.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the screen has one or more light-emitting devices.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one screen is positioned by an offset length.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the offset length is at least 60 yards from the at least one trap.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the movable platform can be moved in at least two dimensions or along at least two axes.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the movable platform can be moved in at least three dimensions or along at least three axes;
12 . A shooting range apparatus comprising:
a moveable platform; at least one computing device;
wherein the movable platform has at least one movement system;
wherein the at least one movement system is coupled to the at least one computing device;
wherein the at least one movement system can move the movable platform along at least one axis; and
wherein the movement system further comprises
at least one motor,
at least one connection system, and
at least one sensor.
13 . The apparatus of claim 12 , further comprising at least one climate control device, wherein the at least one computing device controls the at least one climate control device.
14 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the at least one movement system can move the movable platform along at least two axes.
15 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the movable platform supports a load of 300 lbs.
16 . A method for operating an augmented shooting range comprising:
receiving a user's desired shooting location; analyzing current media inventory; matching the user's desired shooting location with the analyzed current media inventory;
wherein if the current media inventory does not include an environment that matches with the user's desired shooting location above a pre-defined threshold then sending or acquiring media that matches above the pre-defined threshold; and
presenting a media set with at least one presentation system;
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising adjusting a user's position based on the media set.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising calculating a temperature variation range for a user's desired shooting location based on the current or a user's defined time of year.
19 . The method of claim 18 wherein the calculation is determined based on historical and calculated future temperature data.
20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising adjusting the temperature within the augmented shooting range based on the temperature variation range.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
