Collective safety and manhole signalling in building and civil engineering works

Abstract

A manhole signalling and protection device for use in building and civil engineering works against the risk of falling to a different level. The device includes a covering of the opening with a portion of laminar material and fitting the device to the inner walls of the manhole. Versions with signalling elements or others with lighting elements are also provided, and the device can be used for the industrial sector of both civil engineering and building works, as well as for manufacturers of occupational hazard protection equipment.

         8 . A collective protection and signaling of manholes for building and civil works, comprising: means with which to cover an opening of a manhole by a portion of material of lamellar form that includes, next to its perimeter, a plurality of holes that cooperate with screws for fixation on the manhole, the lamellar portion of material includes a chamfer that has at least one reflecting element; centered on said laminar portion a signaling element emerges; and a reverse side of the collective protection of manholes includes at least three clamping elastomers that protrude from a face of the reverse side and contact walls of the manhole. 
     
     
         9 . The collective protection and signaling of manholes in building and civil works according to  claim 8 , further comprising, on a face in contact with the manhole, a plurality of openings that cooperate with stops retained in these openings by a tightening adjustment. 
     
     
         10 . The collective protection and signaling of manholes in building and civil works according to  claim 9 , further comprising, on the face in contact with the manhole, a plurality of reinforcing ribs. 
     
     
         11 . The collective protection and signaling of manholes in building and civil works according to  claim 8 , further comprising luminous warning means in the signaling element and/or its chamfer. 
     
     
         12 . The collective protection and signaling of manholes in building and civil works according to  claim 8 , wherein the signaling element is fixed by screws. 
     
     
         13 . The collective protection and signaling of manholes in building and civil works according to  claim 8 , further comprising at least one carrying handle. 
     
     
         14 . The collective protection and signaling of manholes in building and civil works according to  claim 8 , further comprising a non-slip finish on the surface.
