Abstract

The present invention comprises a novel zippered pillowcase that provides for interior storage generally comprising of a pillowcase body with three closed sides and one open side that is outfitted with a full-length zipper. The storage pillowcase described here allows for the storage of voluminous soft items inside the pillowcase cavity. The user would open the full-length zipper and insert soft items like bedding, blankets, or clothes and the items inserted would serve as the pillows filling material. The user would be able to hide the stored items in plain sight; stored away inside the cavity of the storage pillowcase, which then would be placed on a couch or bed allowing valuable cabinet and drawer space to be freed up for other storage. The invention enables the user to expand their limited existing storage space beyond the usual storage options of drawers and closets.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A pillowcase for the internal storage of voluminous soft items, comprising:
 a. two fabric side panels connected along one common side margin and along two common end margins to define a cavity therein, said two fabric side panels being unconnected at a remaining side margin thereof to define an open side in communication with the cavity, the open cavity being configured to accommodate as contents therein the voluminous soft items; and   b. a releasable fastener along the full-length of the side arranged to prevent the contents of the cavity from leaving the open end with the releasable fastener in a fastened condition and to allow the contents of the cavity to leave the open cavity via the side slit with the releasable fastener in a released condition.
