Abstract

An activity table for wheelchair-bound children includes a generally flat horizontal tabletop, activity elements fastened to its upper surface, and a pair of leg supports fastened to a lower surface of the tabletop. The tabletop has a longitudinal axis, the upper surface, the lower surface, first and second ends, and first and second sides. Each leg support includes parallel upright posts joined by a ground engaging member that is generally transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tabletop. The tabletop and leg supports make the activity elements accessible to a child restricted to a wheelchair. The activity elements develop motor skills and coordination. This table enhances recreation time and is suitable for outdoor use.
