Abstract
A headband is provided that includes an elastic outside and an inside lining. A top portion of the elastic outside forms the outside of the headband and has an elasticity. A bottom portion of the inside lining forms the inside of the headband and has an elasticity. Both the elastic outside and the inside lining are connected to make the headband a 360-degree elastic headband. At least the bottom portion of the inside lining includes a velvet material that forms a gripping portion. The elastic outside and the inside lining provide an elastic headband.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A headband comprising:
an elongated piece of elastic material having a uniform elasticity, wherein a top surface of the elongated piece of elastic material defines an outside surface of the headband, an elongated piece of stretch velvet material having a uniform elasticity, wherein an entire top surface of the elongated piece of stretch velvet material directly contacts a bottom surface of the elongated piece of elastic material, stitching forming a seam directly connecting a first end of the elongated piece of elastic material to a second end of the elongated piece of elastic material, wherein the elongated piece of elastic material and the elongated piece of stretch velvet material are attached along the length of the elongated piece of stretch velvet material such that the headband is a 360-degree elastic headband.
3 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the stitching directly connects a first end of the elongated piece of stretch velvet material to a second end of the elongated piece of stretch velvet material.
4 . The headband of claim 2 , comprising multiple elongated pieces of stretch velvet material, each piece of stretch velvet material having a uniform elasticity, and wherein an entire top surface of each elongated piece of stretch velvet material directly contacts the bottom surface of the elongated piece of elastic material.
5 . The headband of claim 4 , wherein the multiple elongated pieces of stretch velvet material together span less than the entire circumference of the headband.
6 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the entire top surface of the elongated piece of stretch velvet material directly contacts the entire bottom surface of the elongated piece of elastic material.
7 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material comprises an elastic ribbon.
8 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of stretch velvet material comprises a stretch velvet ribbon.
9 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material is folded such that a second seam extends from the first end to the second end of the elongated piece of elastic material.
10 . The headband of claim 9 , wherein the second seam is covered by the elongated piece of stretch velvet material.
11 . The headband of claim 9 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material is folded such that a fold is disposed adjacent a first edge of the headband, and wherein the second seam is disposed adjacent a second edge opposite the first edge.
12 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material and the elongated piece of stretch velvet material have the same width.
13 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material is wider than the elongated piece of stretch velvet material.
14 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material is attached to the elongated piece of stretch velvet material by stitching.
15 . The headband of claim 13 , wherein the stitching comprises stretch-and-stitch stitching.
16 . The headband of claim 2 , wherein the elongated piece of elastic material is attached to the elongated piece of stretch velvet material by an adhesive or bonding material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
