Abstract
An influenza vaccine that has high immunogenicity in children and elderly people and has a higher efficacy than conventional split vaccines. An influenza vaccine composition to be administered to children and/or elderly people, including, as a virus antigen, inactivated whole particles subjected to inactivation treatment with beta-propiolactone.

2 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the virus antigen contains an influenza A virus strain including an A/H1N1 subtype and an A/H3N2 subtype, and an influenza B virus strain including a B/Victoria lineage and a B/Yamagata lineage.
3 . The composition according to claim 1 , comprising no adjuvant.
4 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the composition is subcutaneously administered.
5 . An immunization method comprising administering a composition containing, as a virus antigen, inactivated whole particles subjected to inactivation treatment with beta-propiolactone to children or elderly people.
