Abstract

A ceiling fan blade protection system is disclosed. The system includes a ceiling fan that has a first fan blade, a transparent first blade cover, and an adhesive material. The first blade cover is shaped like the first fan blade as a bag and defines a first opening, a first upper surface, and a first lower surface. The first blade cover is slidably mounted on and removable from the first fan blade. The adhesive material is bonded with the upper surface of the first blade cover and designed to collect dust.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A ceiling fan blade protection system comprising:
a ceiling fan comprising a first fan blade; a transparent first blade cover, the first blade cover defining a first opening, a first upper surface, and a first lower surface, and the first blade cover being slidably mounted on and removable from the first fan blade; and an adhesive material bonded with the upper surface of the first blade cover, the adhesive material being configured to collect dust.

2 . The ceiling fan blade protection system of claim 1 , wherein the first upper surface of the first blade cover is positioned proximal a first upper surface of the first fan blade.

3 . The ceiling fan blade protection system of claim 1 , further comprising a transparent second blade cover, the second blade cover defining a second opening, a second upper surface, and a second lower surface, and the second blade cover being slidably mounted to and removable from a second fan blade of the ceiling fan.

4 . A method of protecting a first fan blade of a ceiling fan, the method comprising the steps of:
providing the ceiling fan comprising the first fan blade; providing a transparent first blade cover, the first blade cover defining a first opening, a first upper surface, and a first lower surface; providing an adhesive material bonded with the upper surface of the first blade cover; slidably mounting the first blade cover on the first fan blade; collecting dust with the adhesive material; and removing the first blade cover from the first fan blade.

5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising the step of:
disposing of the first blade cover.

6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising the step of:
slidably mounting a new blade cover on the first fan blade.
