Paintbrush with bristle cover

Abstract

A paintbrush with a bristle cover member configured to cover the bristle members in the second position of the cover member. The present invention includes a handle portion and a bristle portion integrally formed. A cover member is releasably secured to the handle portion above the bristle portion. The cover member is configured to have a first position and a second position. In the first position the cover member is in a rolled position against the handle portion. In the second position, the cover member is deployed so as to completely cover the bristle portion extending downward from the handle portion to which the upper end is secured. The bottom end of the cover member includes an opening which is configured to be transitioned to a closed position with a closure member. The closure member is secured around the perimeter of the opening at the bottom of the cover member.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A paintbrush configured to provide coverage of a bristle portion wherein the paintbrush comprises:
 a handle portion, said handle portion having an elongated section configured to be engaged by a hand of a user;   a bristle portion, said bristle portion being integrally formed with said handle portion, said bristle portion being comprised of a multitude of bristles, said bristles configured to receive and distribute paint onto a surface, said bristle portion having a lower end distal to said handle portion; and   a bristle cover member, said bristle cover member being releasably secured around said bristle portion, said bristle cover member having a first position and a second position, wherein in said second position said bristle cover member surroundably mounted to said bristle portion.   
     
     
         2 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 1 , wherein in said second position said bristle cover member is extended beyond the lower end of said bristle portion. 
     
     
         3 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 2 , wherein said bristle cover member includes a bottom end in said second position, said bottom end having an opening formed therein. 
     
     
         4 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 3 , wherein the bristle cover member further includes a closure member, said closure member being secured along a perimeter of the opening at the bottom end of the bristle cover member. 
     
     
         5 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 4 , wherein said closure member is configured to substantially close said opening of said bristle cover member ensuing said bristle cover member being placed in said second position. 
     
     
         6 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 5 , wherein said bristle cover member is manufactured from plastic. 
     
     
         7 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 6 , wherein the paintbrush is provided having a bristle portion of alternate widths. 
     
     
         8 . The paintbrush configured to provide coverage of the bristle portion as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said bristle cover member in said first position is circumferentially disposed around said handle portion in a rolled manner.
