Abstract

An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device of the disclosure includes a housing comprising an insertion space in communication with an exterior of the housing; an elongated probe coupled to the housing and comprising a first end, wherein the elongated probe is movable from the insertion space to an interior of the housing; and a pressure sensor coupled to the housing and located adjacent to the first end of the elongated probe.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An aerosol-generating device comprising:
a housing comprising an insertion space in communication with an exterior of the housing; an elongated probe coupled to the housing and comprising a first end, wherein the elongated probe is movable from the insertion space to an interior of the housing; and a pressure sensor coupled to the housing and located adjacent to the first end of the elongated probe.

2 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises a support protruding toward the elongated probe, wherein the support is located adjacent to a side surface of the elongated probe.

3 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 2 , wherein the elongated probe comprises a rib protruding from the side surface of the elongated probe, and
wherein the support and the rib are aligned in a longitudinal direction with respect to the elongated probe.

4 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 3 , wherein the rib is located between the support and the pressure sensor, and
wherein, when the elongated probe moves to the insertion space, the rib is caught by the support.

5 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein, when the elongated probe moves from the insertion space to the interior of the housing, the pressure sensor is in contact with the first end of the elongated probe.

6 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 5 , wherein the pressure sensor has a surface convex toward the elongated probe.

         7 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a container located in the housing, wherein the container is configured to store a liquid; a wick disposed at the insertion space, wherein the wick comprises a portion connected to the container; and a heater disposed near the wick, wherein the heater is configured to apply heat to the wick.

8 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 7 , wherein the housing further comprises a holder with a hole to receive the elongated probe.

9 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 8 , wherein the wick is spaced apart from the hole in a radial direction of the hole.

10 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 8 , wherein the hole has a shape corresponding to a cross-section of the elongated probe.

11 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 8 , wherein the insertion space is elongated in a longitudinal direction of the elongated probe, and
wherein the elongated probe comprises a second end located opposite to the first end of the elongated probe and located at a center of a cross-section of the insertion space.

12 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 11 , wherein the elongated probe comprises:
a first part elongated from the first end of the elongated probe, wherein the first part is movable through the hole; a second part elongated from the second end of the elongated probe, wherein the second part is movable in a longitudinal direction of the insertion space; and a third part connecting the first part and the second part and intersecting a longitudinal direction of the first part or the second part.
