Abstract
A modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier that is structured to be coupled to a temporary fence panel is disclosed. The barrier includes a frame comprising multiple side vertical conductive support members and multiple horizontal conductive support members. The frame is electrically chargeable. The barrier includes multiple exposed conductive wires spanning a distance between the side vertical conductive support members. The exposed conductive wires are electrically chargeable, and a charge passes from the wires to the frame. The barrier includes a conductive bracket and a non-conductive bracket.

1 . A mobile perimeter security system (MPSS) comprising:
a frame comprising a first side vertical conductive support member, a second side vertical conductive support member, an upper horizontal conductive support member, and a lower horizontal conductive support member, wherein an entirety of the frame is electrically chargeable; a plurality of exposed conductive wires spanning a distance between the first side vertical conductive support member and the second side vertical conductive support member, the plurality of exposed conductive wires being electrically chargeable; a first bracket that is structured to facilitate coupling the frame to a second frame of a second MPSS, the first bracket being electrically chargeable; and a second bracket that is structured to facilitate coupling the frame to a fence, wherein at least a portion of the second bracket is as an electrical insulator, thereby preventing charge to pass from the frame to the fence when the frame is coupled to the fence.
2 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein the frame includes a middle vertical conductive support member coupled to the upper horizontal conductive support member and the lower horizontal conductive support member.
3 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein a spacing between the plurality of exposed conductive wires is uniform.
4 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein a spacing between the plurality of exposed conductive wires is non-uniform.
5 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein a height of the frame is adjustable.
6 . The MPSS of claim 5 , wherein the height of the frame is adjustable via a telescopic base member connected to the frame, the telescopic base member providing electrical insulation.
7 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein at least one exposed conductive wire included among the plurality of exposed conductive wires is coupled to a spring member, and the spring member is coupled to at least one of the first side vertical conductive support member or the second side vertical conductive support member.
8 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein the first bracket includes a first component, a second component, and a coupler, and wherein each of the first component and the second component respectively includes two concave curves and one convex curve.
9 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein the first bracket includes a first component, a second component, and a coupler, and wherein the coupler passes through central holes of the first component and the second component.
10 . The MPSS of claim 1 , wherein the first bracket includes a first component, a second component, and a coupler, wherein the first bracket includes two concave curves and one convex curve, and wherein at least one of the two concave curves contacts one of the first side vertical conductive support member or the second side vertical conductive support member.
11 . A modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier that is structured to be coupled to a fence, said modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier comprising:
a frame comprising a plurality of vertical conductive support members and a plurality of horizontal conductive support members, wherein an entirety of the frame is electrically chargeable; a plurality of exposed conductive wires spanning a distance between at least two of the vertical conductive support members, wherein the plurality of exposed conductive wires are electrically chargeable; a conductive bracket disposed on one of the vertical conductive support members, wherein the conductive bracket is structured to facilitate coupling the frame to a second frame of a second modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier, wherein the conductive bracket is electrically chargeable; and a non-conductive bracket disposed on one of the vertical conductive support members, wherein the non-conductive bracket is structured to facilitate coupling the frame to the fence, and wherein a portion of the non-conductive bracket is an electrical insulator, thereby preventing charge to pass from the frame to the fence when the frame is coupled to the fence.
12 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 11 , wherein the frame is adjustable in height.
13 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 11 , wherein at least one exposed conductive wire in the plurality of exposed conductive wires is coupled to said one vertical conductive support member via a spring that hooks onto said one vertical conductive support member.
14 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 11 , wherein a length of the non-conductive bracket is at least 6 inches.
15 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 11 , wherein a length of the conductive bracket is between about 2 inches and about 10 inches.
16 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 11 , wherein a length of the non-conductive bracket is longer than a length of the conductive bracket.
17 . A modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier that is structured to be coupled to a temporary fence panel, said modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier comprising:
a frame comprising at least two vertical conductive support members and at least two horizontal conductive support members, wherein an entirety of the frame is electrically chargeable; an exposed conductive wire spanning a distance between said at least two vertical conductive support members, wherein the exposed conductive wire is electrically chargeable; a conductive bracket disposed on the frame, wherein the conductive bracket is structured to facilitate coupling the frame to a second frame of a second modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier, wherein the conductive bracket is electrically chargeable; and a non-conductive bracket disposed on the frame, wherein the non-conductive bracket is structured to facilitate coupling the frame to the fence, and wherein at least a portion of the non-conductive bracket is an electrical insulator, thereby preventing charge to pass from the frame to the fence when the frame is coupled to the fence.
18 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 17 , wherein a first one of the vertical conductive support members includes a connection member that includes a retractable push pin, and wherein a portion of the connection member is inserted into the non-conductive bracket, and wherein the retractable push pin is inserted into a corresponding hole in the non-conductive bracket.
19 . The modular, electrically chargeable protective barrier of claim 18 , wherein the non-conductive bracket includes a wrap-around portion that wraps around a portion of the fence.
