Fluid-Dispensing Hairbrush Assembly
Abstract
A fluid-dispensing hairbrush assembly for dispensing fluid into hair while brushing it includes a handle having a first end, a second end, and a perimeter wall, wherein the handle is elongated from the first end to the second end. The handle has an interior space defining a reservoir for containing a fluid, and the first end comprises an opening extending into the reservoir. A brush head has a base end and a front surface. A plurality of bristles is attached to and extends away from the front surface. An aperture extends through the front surface of the brush head. A conduit extends into the base end of the brush head and is in fluid communication with the dispensing aperture and the reservoir.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fluid-dispensing hairbrush assembly comprising:
a handle having a first end, a second end, and a perimeter wall, said handle being elongated from said first end to said second end, said handle having an interior space defining a reservoir for containing a fluid, said first end comprising an opening extending into said reservoir; a brush head having a base end and a front surface; a plurality of bristles being attached to and extending away from said front surface, said plurality of bristles being spaced from each other in a longitudinal direction and in a lateral direction with respect to said front surface; a dispensing aperture extending through said front surface of said brush head, said dispensing aperture being spaced from each bristle of said plurality of bristles, said dispensing aperture being positioned and configured to facilitate dispensing the fluid adjacent to said front surface; a conduit extending into said base end of said brush head and being in fluid communication with said dispensing aperture and said reservoir.
2 . The hairbrush of claim 1 , further comprising said dispensing aperture being one of a plurality of dispensing apertures.
3 . The hairbrush of claim 1 , further comprising a plunger being coupled to said handle, said plunger extending through said perimeter wall of said handle and being in fluid communication with said reservoir, said plunger being actuated to inject air into said reservoir to urge fluid from said reservoir into said conduit.
4 . The hairbrush of claim 3 , further comprising said plunger comprising a one-way valve configured for only permitting air to transfer into said reservoir.
5 . The hairbrush of claim 1 , further comprising said base end being removably coupled to said first end of said handle to facilitate filling of said reservoir with fluid.
6 . The hairbrush of claim 5 , further comprising said base end of said brush head and said first end of said handle being threadably coupled together.
7 . The hairbrush of claim 3 , further comprising said front surface of said brush head facing a same direction as an outer surface of said plunger.
8 . The hairbrush of claim 1 , further comprising a one-way inlet valve being positioned in said conduit adjacent said base end of said brush head, said one-way inlet valve being configured for only permitting the fluid to transfer into said conduit from said reservoir.
9 . A fluid-dispensing hairbrush assembly comprising:
a handle having a first end, a second end, and a perimeter wall, said handle being elongated from said first end to said second end, said handle having an interior space defining a reservoir for containing a fluid, said first end comprising an opening extending into said reservoir; a brush head having a base end and a front surface; a plurality of bristles being attached to and extending away from said front surface, said plurality of bristles being spaced from each other in a longitudinal direction and in a lateral direction with respect to said front surface, each bristle of said plurality of bristles being elongated and having a radially symmetric shape around a central longitudinal axis thereof, each bristle having a cylindrical shape; a plurality of dispensing apertures extending through said front surface of said brush head, each dispensing aperture of said plurality of dispensing apertures being spaced from each bristle of said plurality of bristles, each dispensing aperture of said plurality of dispensing apertures being positioned and configured to facilitate dispensing the fluid adjacent to said front surface; a conduit extending into said base end of said brush head and being in fluid communication with each of said plurality of dispensing apertures and said reservoir; a plunger being coupled to said handle, said plunger extending through said perimeter wall of said handle and being in fluid communication with said reservoir, said plunger being actuatable to inject air into said reservoir to urge fluid from said reservoir into said conduit, said plunger comprising a one-way valve configured for only permitting air to transfer into said reservoir; said base end being removably coupled to said first end of said handle to facilitate filling of said reservoir with fluid, said base end of said brush head and said first end of said handle being threadably coupled together, said front surface of said brush head facing a same direction as an outer surface of said plunger; and a one-way inlet valve being positioned in said conduit adjacent said base end of said brush head, said one-way inlet valve being configured for only permitting the fluid to transfer into said conduit from said reservoir.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
