Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 15 . (canceled)

         16 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
a cabinet having an opening in the front of thereon; a door coupled to the cabinet to open and close the opening; a locking portion locking the door to the cabinet; a drum provided inside the cabinet to accommodate laundry; a driving portion connected to the drum to rotate the drum; a control panel coupled to the cabinet, wherein the control panel comprising a power supply portion that receives a command to supply power, a selection portion that receives a command to select a course to treat the laundry, a display portion that displays at least one of a weight of the laundry and an execution time of the selected course, and a time adjustment portion receiving an input of a command for extending or reducing the execution time of the selected course, wherein the drive portion is provided to rotate the drum in a state in which the lock portion unlocks the door based on the power portion is input, wherein the display portion is provided to display at least one of a weight of the laundry and an execution time of a course for treating the laundry after the drum starts to rotate, and wherein the display portion is provided to display the execution time by extending or shortening it based on that time adjustment portion is input.

17 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the course comprises a washing cycle of washing the laundry with water and detergent, a rinsing cycle of rinsing the laundry with the water, and a dewatering cycle of removing the water from the laundry,
wherein based on inputting the time adjustment portion, the execution time of one or more of the washing cycle, the rinsing cycle, and the dewatering cycle is provided to extend or reduce.

18 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 17 , wherein based on inputting the time adjustment portion, the drive portion is provided to vary an rpm of the drum set in at least one of the washing cycle, the rinsing cycle, and the dewatering cycle, or is provided to vary an actual operation rate of rotating the drum in one of the washing cycle, the rinsing cycle, and the dewatering cycle.

19 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 18 , wherein based on inputting the time adjustment portion, the drive portion is provided to change the actual operation rate of the drum in the washing cycle.

20 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 19 , wherein based on inputting a command for extending the execution time from the time adjustment portion, the drive portion is provided to decrease the actual operation rate in the washing cycle.

21 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 19 , wherein based on inputting a command for reducing the execution time from the time adjustment portion, the drive portion is provided to increase the actual operation rate in the washing cycle.

22 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 17 , wherein based on inputting a command for extending the execution time from the time adjustment portion, the course is set to additionally increase the execution time or a count of the rinsing cycle.

23 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 17 , wherein based on inputting a command for reducing the execution time from the time adjustment portion, the course is set to maintain the execution time or a count of the rinsing cycle.

24 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 17 , wherein based on inputting a command for extending the execution time from the time adjustment portion, the drive portion is provided to decrease an rpm of the drum in the dewatering cycle.

25 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the drive portion is provided to maintain the rpm of the drum in the dewatering cycle to be higher than a medium rpm at which the laundry is separated from an inner wall of the drum.

26 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 17 , wherein based on inputting a command for reducing the execution time from the time adjustment portion, the drive portion is provided to increase an rpm of the drum in the dewatering cycle.

27 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 17 , wherein based on inputting the time adjustment portion, the course is set to proportionally extend or shorten the execution time of each of the washing cycle, the rinsing cycle, and the dewatering cycle.

28 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the select portion is provided to be able to input in a state where the display portion displays the weight and the execution time.

29 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 16 , wherein based on the execution time equal to or greater than a reference time, the display portion is provided to display a signal of inducing to input to the time adjustment portion.

30 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the control panel further include an execution portion receiving a command to execute the course at an execution time input to the selection portion or the time adjustment portion, and
wherein the locking portion is provided to lock the door based on the execution portion is input.
