Abstract

A projectile target assembly for use in a targeted projectile launching game includes an outer ring and an inner ring, which can be positioned on a substantially horizontal surface with the inner ring within the outer ring. A first target is defined by and positioned between the outer ring and the inner ring. A second target is defined and outlined by the inner ring. A post is positionable in a substantially vertical configuration within the inner ring. A first receptacle, which is attached to the post proximate to its upper end, has an upper facet that is open to define a third target. A second receptacle, which is attached to and positioned in the first receptacle, has an upper face that is open to define a fourth target. Projectiles are launched at the first, second, third, and fourth targets as part of a targeted projectile launching game.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A projectile target assembly comprising:
 an outer ring configured for positioning on a substantially horizontal surface; an inner ring configured for positioning within the outer ring on the substantially horizontal surface, a first target being defined by and positioned between the outer ring and the inner ring, a second target defined and outlined by the inner ring; a post configured for positioning in a substantially vertical configuration within the inner ring; a first receptacle attached to the post proximate to an upper end of the post, the first receptacle having an upper facet, the upper facet being open such that the first receptacle defines a third target; a second receptacle attached to and positioned in the first receptacle, the second receptacle having an upper face, the upper face being open such that the second receptacle defines a fourth target; and wherein the first target, the second target, the third target, and the fourth target are configured for landing of a projectile as part of a targeted projectile launching game.

         2 . The projectile target assembly of claim 1 , wherein the inner ring and the outer ring each comprise an endless flexible line.

         3 . The projectile target assembly of claim 1 , further including a stand attached to the post proximate to a lower end of the post, wherein the stand is configured for stabilizing the post in the substantially vertical configuration.

         4 . The projectile target assembly of claim 3 , wherein the stand is tripodal.

         5 . The projectile target assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first receptacle is inverted square pyramid shaped.

         6 . The projectile target assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second receptacle is cylindrical.

         7 . The projectile target assembly of claim 1 , further including:
 the inner ring and the outer ring each comprising an endless flexible line; a stand attached to the post proximate to a lower end of the post, the stand being tripodal, wherein the stand is configured for stabilizing the post in the substantially vertical configuration; the first receptacle being inverted square pyramid shaped; and the second receptacle being cylindrical.

         8 . A targeted projectile launching game system comprising:
 a projectile target assembly comprising:
 an outer ring configured for positioning on a substantially horizontal surface,
 an inner ring configured for positioning within the outer ring on the substantially horizontal surface, a first target being defined by and positioned between the outer ring and the inner ring, a second target defined and outlined by the inner ring,
 a post configured for positioning in a substantially vertical configuration within the inner ring,
 a first receptacle attached to the post proximate to an upper end of the post, the first receptacle having an upper facet, the upper facet being open such that the first receptacle defines a third target, and
 a second receptacle attached to and positioned in the first receptacle, the second receptacle having an upper face, the upper face being open such that the second receptacle defines a fourth target;
   a plurality of projectiles configured for launching, wherein the first target, the second target, the third target, and the fourth target are configured for landing of a projectile as part of a targeted projectile launching game.

         9 . The targeted projectile launching game system of claim 8 , further including:
 a plurality of slingshots; and each projectile comprising a finned missile configured for selectively engaging a band of a respective slingshot, positioning a user for engaging the finned missile to the band, pulling on the finned missile for stretching the band, and releasing the finned missile such that the finned missile is launched from the slingshot.

         10 . The targeted projectile launching game system of claim 8 , further including a set of rules for playing a targeted projectile launching game.

         11 . A method of playing a targeted projectile launching game comprising the steps of:
 providing a targeted projectile launching game system comprising:
 a projectile target assembly comprising:
 an outer ring configured for positioning on a substantially horizontal surface,
 an inner ring configured for positioning within the outer ring on the substantially horizontal surface, a first target being defined by and positioned between the outer ring and the inner ring,
 a second target defined and outlined by the inner ring,
 a post configured for positioning in a substantially vertical configuration within the inner ring,
 a first receptacle attached to the post proximate to an upper end of the post, the first receptacle having an upper facet, the upper facet being open such that the first receptacle defines a third target, and
 a second receptacle attached to and positioned in the first receptacle, the second receptacle having an upper face, the upper face being open such that the second receptacle defines a fourth target,

 a plurality of slingshots,
 a plurality of projectiles, each projectile comprising a finned missile configured for selectively engaging a band of a respective slingshot, positioning a user for engaging the finned missile to the band, pulling on the finned missile for stretching the band, and releasing the finned missile such that the finned missile is launched from the slingshot, wherein the first target, the second target, the third target, and the fourth target are configured for landing of a projectile as part of a targeted projectile launching game, and
 a set of rules for playing a targeted projectile launching game;
   positioning the outer ring, the inner ring, and the post according to the set of rules; launching the projectiles according to the set of rules; scoring the projectiles according to the set of rules; repeating the launching and scoring of the projectiles until a player achieves a score provided in the set of rules; and declaring a winner according to the set of rules.
