Card game with augmentation cards

Abstract

A novel game that utilizes physical or virtual trading cards as game components. The game can be played on various media, including, but not limited to, electronic game consoles, computers, and interactive and social media networks accessed using computers, cellular devices, tablets, or others.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A set of playing cards, comprising:
 base cards, each base card comprising: a base image, a base description, a base value, at least one element, at least one element value, and at least one gem or point value system; and   augmentation cards, comprising: a phenomena name, a phenomena description, at least one element, and at least one element augmentation value.   
     
     
         2 . The set of playing cards of  claim 1 , wherein the total number of base cards and augmentation cards combined is one-hundred and twenty. 
     
     
         3 . The set of playing cards of  claim 2 , wherein the at least one element is associated with the at least one augmentation value. 
     
     
         4 . The set of playing cards of  claim 3 , wherein the at least one element augmentation value of the augmentation cards is −1 for the associated at least one element. 
     
     
         5 . The set of playing cards of  claim 3 , wherein the at least one element augmentation value of the augmentation cards is +1 for the associated at least one element. 
     
     
         6 . The set of playing cards of  claim 3 , wherein a first of the at least one element augmentation value of the augmentation cards is −1 for a first associated element and a second of the at least one augmentation value is +1 for a second associated element. 
     
     
         7 . The set of playing cards of  claim 3 , wherein the at least one element augmentation value of the augmentation cards is −1 for the associated at least one element. 
     
     
         8 . The set of playing cards of  claim 1 , wherein an augmentation card is played on a base card during a round of play and modifies the base value. 
     
     
         9 . The set of playing cards of  claim 8 , wherein the base value is increased. 
     
     
         10 . The set of playing cards of  claim 8 , wherein the base value is decreased. 
     
     
         11 . The set of playing cards of  claim 8 , wherein a first player's base card competes with a second player's base card in a round. 
     
     
         12 . The set of playing cards of  claim 1 , wherein a game winner collects the most gems or point value system. 
     
     
         13 . The set of playing cards of  claim 1 , wherein multiple augmentation cards are played and affect a base card value. 
     
     
         14 . The set of playing cards of  claim 1 , wherein the total number of base cards and augmentation cards combined is between fifty to one-hundred and fifty, inclusive. 
     
     
         15 . The set of playing cards of  claim 14 , wherein the augmentation cards make up between twenty five percent and fifty percent of the total number of base cards and augmentation cards combined.
