Headwear Attachment Assembly

Abstract

A headwear attachment assembly including a mounting band, an attachment strip mounted on the mounting band, wherein the attachment strip running laterally a predetermined length of the mounting band, a first vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of the mounting band, wherein the first vertical slit is configured to contour a wearer's head, a second vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said attachment strip, wherein the second vertical slit is configured to contour a wearer's head and wherein the attachment assembly is configured to be operable for being mounted on an inner or internal headband of a headwear.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An attachment assembly, comprising:
 a mounting band;   an attachment strip mounted on said mounting band, wherein said attachment strip running laterally a predetermined length of said mounting band;   a first vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said mounting band, wherein said first vertical slit is configured to contour a wearer's head;   a second vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said attachment strip, wherein said second vertical slit is configured to contour a wearer's head; and   wherein said attachment assembly is configured to be operable for being mounted on an inner or internal headband of a headwear.   
     
     
         2 . The attachment assembly of  claim 1 , in which said mounting band comprises at least one of a fabric material, a plastic material, a rubberized material, and a flexible material. 
     
     
         3 . The attachment assembly of  claim 2 , wherein said attachment assembly is generally tented into an inverted V-shape prior to being mounted on the inner headband of the headwear. 
     
     
         4 . The attachment assembly of  claim 2 , wherein said attachment assembly is generally mounted the internal headband of the headwear with an upwardly facing mounting band fold. 
     
     
         5 . The attachment assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one of, a hook-and-loop, a hook-and-pile, a touch, or adhesive fastener engaged with said attachment strip. 
     
     
         6 . The attachment assembly of  claim 5 , further comprising a headwear accessory where said headwear accessory is to be attached to said attachment strip with at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener. 
     
     
         7 . The attachment assembly of  claim 6 , in which said headwear accessory comprises a neck protector or wedding veil engaged on said attachment strip via at least one of said hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, touch, or adhesive fasteners affixed to attachment strip 
     
     
         8 . The attachment assembly of  claim 6 , wherein a width of said mounting band is up to approximately double the width of said attachment strip. 
     
     
         9 . The attachment assembly of  claim 1 , in which said mounting band is configured to be folded along the entire length of the mounting band to form an inverted V-shaped mounting band placed atop an inner surface of a headband. 
     
     
         10 . The attachment assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one of, a hook-and-loop, a hook-and-pile, and a touch or adhesive fastener strip along a full or partial length of an external face of a V-shaped mounting band. 
     
     
         11 . The attachment assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener;   a headwear accessory;   in which said headwear accessory comprises novelty dog ears; and   where said headwear accessory is engaged to said attachment strip with at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener.   
     
     
         12 . An attachment assembly, comprising:
 a mounting band;   an attachment strip mounted on said mounting band, wherein said attachment strip running laterally a predetermined length of said mounting band;   a first vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said mounting band, wherein said first vertical slit is configured to contour a wearer's head;   a second vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said attachment strip;   a third vertical slit at said attachment strip disposed at a proximate median point of said attachment strip, to contour to the wearer's head; and   wherein said attachment assembly is configured to be operable for being mounted on an inner or internal headband of a headwear.   
     
     
         13 . The attachment assembly of  claim 12 , further comprising:
 at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener;   a headwear accessory;   in which said headwear accessory comprises novelty dog ears; and   where said headwear accessory is engaged to said attachment strip with at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener.   
     
     
         14 . An attachment assembly, comprising:
 a mounting band;   an attachment strip, wherein said attachment strip is into engagement with said mounting band, wherein said attachment strip running laterally a predetermined length of said mounting band;   a first vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said mounting band, wherein said first vertical slit is configured to contour a wearer's head;   a second vertical slit disposed at a proximate median point of said attachment strip;   a third vertical slit at said attachment strip disposed at a proximate median point of said attachment strip, to contour to the wearer's head; and   wherein said attachment assembly is configured to be tented into an inverted V-shape being operable for being mounted on an inner or internal headband of a headwear.   
     
     
         15 . The attachment assembly of  claim 14 , further comprising:
 at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener;   a headwear accessory;   in which said headwear accessory comprises novelty dog ears; and   where said headwear accessory is engaged to said attachment strip with at least one of said, hook-and-loop, hook-and-pile, and touch or adhesive fastener.
