Abstract

An educator assembly for a toilet includes a suction reservoir, a flow driving device, a first nozzle, a second nozzle, and a discharge outlet. The suction reservoir is configured to store a supply of water. The flow driving device is configured to supply a flow of water to the eductor assembly and in fluid communication with the suction reservoir to create a suction port proximate to the flow driving device and the suction reservoir. The first nozzle is at the end of the flow driving device. The second nozzle is downstream of the suction port. The discharge outlet is coupled to a trapway of the toilet and configured to receive discharge from the second nozzle downstream of the suction port.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of flushing a toilet, the method comprising:
 supplying a first flow of water into a suction reservoir configured to store water;   creating a suction port in an eductor assembly proximate to the suction reservoir;   supplying a second flow of water through a second nozzle; and   removing waste from the toilet using the second flow of water.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the first flow has a first speed and a first volumetric flow rate. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the second flow has a second speed and a second volumetric flow rate. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3 , wherein the first speed is greater than the second speed. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 3 , wherein the first volumetric flow rate is less than the second volumetric flow rate. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the second flow of water is supplied to a sump in the toilet. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the second flow of water includes water from the first flow and water stored in the suction reservoir. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 suppling water to a bowl of a toilet, a sump of a toilet, and the suction reservoir by a rim jet.   
     
     
         9 . A method of manufacturing a toilet and eductor assembly, the method comprising:
 forming a toilet bowl integrally with an eductor assembly;   providing an orifice in the eductor assembly for a flow driving device; and   attaching the flow driving device to the eductor assembly via the orifice.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising:
 providing a water supply channel to the flow driving device and the eductor assembly.   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the flow driving device includes a tapered body portion and a nozzle. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the flow driving device extends into a suction reservoir of the eductor assembly. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , further comprising:
 attaching a supply channel into the suction reservoir of the eductor assembly.   
     
     
         14 . A method of flushing a toilet, the method comprising:
 initiating a flush cycle by operation of an actuator;   supplying a first flow of water from a flow driving device into a suction reservoir configured to store water;   creating a suction port in an eductor assembly proximate to the suction reservoir;   supplying a second flow of water through a second nozzle; and   removing waste from the toilet using the second flow of water.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the flow driving device includes a tapered body portion and a nozzle into the suction reservoir. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the suction port is created from a Bernoulli effect from the first flow of water. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the first flow has a first speed and a first volumetric flow rate and the second flow has a second speed and a second volumetric flow rate, wherein the first speed is greater than the second speed. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the second flow of water is supplied to a sump in the toilet. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the second flow of water includes water from the first flow and water stored in the suction reservoir. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising:
 suppling water to a bowl of a toilet, a sump of a toilet, and the suction reservoir by a rim jet.
