Transparent Storage Bag

Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel see-through generally quart sized bag for storing small personal items in a secure and visible manner. The bag is made of clear and thick PVC material and includes a zipper system for closing and opening the bag. The zipper system includes a pair of zipper pull tabs that close the bag when meeting each other on the top edge of the bag and opens the bag when the zipper pull tabs are pulled away from each other to halfway down the side edges. The pull tabs are textured enabling a user to pull the tabs even when a user's hand is wet. The bag is easy to carry and can be used in place of soggy Ziplock bags to carry items, for example, through security checkpoints at airports.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A storage bag comprising:
 a first transparent side connected to an opposing second transparent side along a common bottom edge and partially along opposing side edges for forming an enclosure for storing small personal items;   a zippered system including a first zipper positioned along a top edge and partially down a first side edge and a second zipper positioned along said top edge and partially down a second side edge;   wherein said first zipper having an ergonomic first zipper pull tab and said second zipper having an ergonomic second zipper pull tab;   wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side having a material of PVC;   wherein said partially down said first side edge is generally half-way down said first side edge; and   further wherein said partially down said second side edge is generally half-way down said second side edge.   
     
     
         2 . The storage bag of  claim 1 , wherein said first transparent side is see-through and said second transparent side is see-through. 
     
     
         3 . The storage bag of  claim 2 , wherein said first pull tab is textured and said second pull tab is textured. 
     
     
         4 . The storage bag of  claim 3 , wherein in use said second transparent side remains horizontal when said first transparent side is opened. 
     
     
         5 . The storage bag of  claim 4 , wherein said storage bag having a length of about 8 inches. 
     
     
         6 . The storage bag of  claim 5 , wherein said storage bag having a width of about 7 inches. 
     
     
         7 . The storage bag of  claim 6 , wherein said storage bag having a thickness of about 0.8 inches. 
     
     
         8 . The storage bag of  claim 7 , wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side are flexible. 
     
     
         9 . The storage bag of  claim 8 , wherein said storage bag is foldable. 
     
     
         10 . The storage bag of  claim 9 , wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side are tear resistant. 
     
     
         11 . A storage bag device comprising:
 a storage bag having a first transparent side connected to an opposing second transparent side along a common bottom edge and partially along opposing side edges for forming an enclosure for storing small personal items;   wherein said storage bag having a zippered system, including a first zipper positioned along a top edge and partially down a first side edge, and a second zipper positioned along said top edge and partially down a second side edge;   wherein said first zipper having an ergonomic first zipper pull tab and said second zipper having an ergonomic second zipper pull tab;   wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side having a material of PVC;   wherein said partially down said first side edge is generally half-way down said first side edge;   wherein said partially down said second side edge is generally half-way down said second side edge; and   further wherein in use said second transparent side remains horizontal when said first transparent side is opened.   
     
     
         12 . The storage bag device of  claim 11 , wherein said first transparent side is see-through and said second transparent side is see-through. 
     
     
         13 . The storage bag device of  claim 12 , wherein said first pull tab is textured and said second pull tab is textured. 
     
     
         14 . The storage bag device of  claim 13 , wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side are flexible. 
     
     
         15 . The storage bag device of  claim 14 , wherein said storage bag is foldable. 
     
     
         16 . A method of storing personal items in a storage bag device, the method comprising the steps of:
 placing personal items in a storage bag having a first transparent side connected to an opposing second transparent side along a common bottom edge and partially along opposing side edges for forming an enclosure for storing small personal items;   wherein said storage bag having a zippered system, including a first zipper positioned along a top edge and partially down a first side edge, and a second zipper positioned along said top edge and partially down a second side edge;   wherein said first zipper having an ergonomic first zipper pull tab and said second zipper having an ergonomic second zipper pull tab;   wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side having a material of PVC;   wherein said partially down said first side edge is generally half-way down said first side edge;   wherein said partially down said second side edge is generally half-way down said second side edge; and   further wherein in use said second transparent side remains horizontal when said first transparent side is opened.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein said first transparent side is see-through and said second transparent side is see-through. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein said first pull tab is textured and said second pull tab is textured. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein said first transparent side and said second transparent side are flexible. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein said storage bag is foldable.
