Utility Scaffold Device
Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel utility scaffold device. The device is a multifunctional scaffolding featuring a set of detachable steps and a slide locking gate. The utility scaffold device comprises a base component which is a workspace that is approximately six feet in length and three feet wide. Further, a horizontal bar positioned around the base component is secured by four vertical bars, to provide a handrail for the user. Additionally, four vertical legs are secured on the underside of the base component with a large wheel at each end for facilitating movement over any type of terrain. The base component also comprises a locking gate that provides entrance to the base component and a set of detachable stairs in front of the gate to allow a user to easily enter and exit the device.

1 . A utility scaffold device that promotes safety while working at elevated heights, comprising:
a base component with adjustable legs; and a detachable set of stairs; and wherein the adjustable legs allow a user to vary a height of the utility scaffold device; and wherein the detachable set of stairs allows for easy access to the base component.
2 . The utility scaffold device of claim 1 wherein the base component is a workspace for the user.
3 . The utility scaffold device of claim 2 wherein an adjustable leg is secured at each corner of an underside of the base component.
4 . The utility scaffold device of claim 3 wherein the adjustable legs are telescoping legs and comprise at least one telescoping segment that allows a total length of the adjustable leg to be extended or retracted via a slip lock for locking the at least one telescoping segment at a specific length.
5 . The utility scaffold device of claim 4 wherein the at least one telescoping segments allow the adjustable legs to have a length from approximately three feet to six feet fully extended.
6 . The utility scaffold device of claim 5 wherein each of the adjustable legs each comprise a wheel secured to a bottom of the adjustable leg.
7 . The utility scaffold device of claim 6 further comprising a horizontal support bar that is secured between the adjustable legs and a vertical leg positioned in a center of the base component to provide additional support in a length of the utility scaffold device.
8 . The utility scaffold device of claim 7 further comprising a handrail positioned around a perimeter of the base component and secured by four vertical bars.
9 . The utility scaffold device of claim 8 further comprising a locking gate that provides entrance to the base component.
10 . The utility scaffold device of claim 9 wherein the locking gate comprises a slide lock and a handle to open the locking gate.
11 . The utility scaffold device of claim 10 wherein the detachable set of stairs is secured to a side of the base component, in front of the locking gate to allow the user to easily enter and exit the utility scaffold device.
12 . The utility scaffold device of claim 11 wherein the detachable set of stairs are attachable to the side of the base component via hooks.
13 . A utility scaffold device that promotes safety while working at elevated heights, comprising:
a base component with adjustable legs; a handrail positioned around a perimeter of the base component and secured by four vertical bars; a locking gate that provides entrance to the base component; and a detachable set of stairs; and wherein the adjustable legs allow a user to vary a height of the utility scaffold device; wherein an adjustable leg is secured at each corner of an underside of the base component; wherein the adjustable legs are telescoping legs and comprise at least one telescoping segment that allows a total length of the adjustable leg to be extended or retracted via a slip lock for locking the at least one telescoping segment at a specific length; wherein each of the adjustable legs each comprise a wheel secured to a bottom of the adjustable leg; and wherein the detachable set of stairs is secured to a side of the base component, in front of the locking gate to allow the user to easily enter and exit the utility scaffold device.
14 . The utility scaffold device of claim 13 wherein the detachable set of stairs comprise a plurality of steps integrally attached.
15 . The utility scaffold device of claim 13 further comprising a plurality of indicia.
16 . The utility scaffold device of claim 13 wherein the at least one telescoping segments allow the adjustable legs to have a length from approximately three feet to six feet fully extended.
17 . The utility scaffold device of claim 13 further comprising a horizontal support bar that is secured between the adjustable legs to provide additional support in a length of the utility scaffold device.
18 . The utility scaffold device of claim 13 wherein the locking gate comprises a slide lock.
19 . The utility scaffold device of claim 13 wherein the detachable set of stairs are attachable to the side of the base component via hooks and comprise telescoping legs to vary height of the detachable set of stairs.
20 . A method of working at elevated heights without fear of falling or injury, comprising the following steps:
providing a utility scaffold device comprising a base component with a handrail and a gate, as well as adjustable legs to vary the height of the device, and a set of stairs for easy access to the base component; positioning the device in a predetermined location for performing a maintenance job and attaching the set of stairs; climbing the set of stairs and opening the gate to enter the base component; and performing the maintenance job without fear of falling or injury.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
