Abstract

An inflatable toilet seat assembly includes a toilet seat that is hingedly disposed on a toilet thereby facilitating the toilet seat to be sat upon. An annular bladder is positionable on top of the toilet seat and the annular bladder is inflatable for increasing the total height of the annular bladder and the toilet seat thereby assisting a physically limited user with sitting upon the annular bladder. A plurality of first straps is each of the first straps is attached to the annular bladder and is extendable around the toilet seat. A plurality of second straps is each of the second straps is attached to the annular bladder and is extendable around the toilet seat. An inflation port is integrated into the annular bladder such that the inflation port is in fluid communication with an interior of the annular bladder and a pump is fluidly attachable to the inflation port for inflating the annular bladder.

1 . An inflatable toilet seat assembly for increasing the height of a toilet seat to assist a physically limited user to sit on the toilet seat, said assembly comprising:
 a toilet seat being hingedly disposed on a toilet thereby facilitating said toilet seat to be sat upon;   an annular bladder being positionable on top of said toilet seat, said annular bladder being inflatable for increasing the total height of said annular bladder and said toilet seat thereby assisting a physically limited user with sitting upon said annular bladder;   a plurality of first straps, each of said first straps being attached to said annular bladder and being extendable around said toilet seat;   a plurality of second straps, each of said second straps being attached to said annular bladder and being extendable around said toilet seat, each of said second straps being releasably matable to a respective one of said first straps for securing said annular bladder to said toilet seat;   an inflation port being integrated into said annular bladder such that said inflation port is in fluid communication with an interior of said annular bladder; and   a pump being fluidly attachable to said inflation port for inflating said annular bladder to an adjustable amount of total inflation wherein a height of said bladder is adjustable.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 said toilet seat has a top surface;   said annular bladder has a top wall, a bottom wall and an outer wall extending between said top wall and said bottom wall, said outer wall having an inwardly facing side and an outwardly facing side, said inwardly facing side being continuously arcuate about a center point of said annular bladder, annular bladder being elongated along an axis extending through a front end and a back end of said annular bladder such that said inwardly facing side defines an ovoid opening in said annular bladder;   said outwardly facing side has a planar portion extending between a curved portion, said planar portion being positioned on said back side of said annular bladder thereby facilitating said planar portion to be abutted against a tank of the toilet when said annular bladder is positioned on said toilet seat, said curved portion being co-arcuate with said inwardly facing side;   said bottom wall rests upon said top surface of said toilet seat thereby facilitating the physically limited user to sit upon said top wall of said annular bladder; and   said top wall is spaced from said bottom wall a variety of distances corresponding to a degree to which said annular bladder is inflated for accommodating the needs of the physically limited user.   
     
     
         3 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein:
 each of said first straps is attached to and extends away from said bottom wall of said annular bladder, each of said first straps being aligned with said inwardly facing side of said outer wall of said annular bladder, a respective one of said first straps being aligned with said back end of said annular bladder, a respective pair of said first straps being positioned between said first strap aligned with said back end and said front end of said annular bladder, each of said first straps having a distal end with respect to said annular bladder and a top surface; and   a plurality of first mating members, each of said first mating members being attached to said top surface of a respective one of said first straps, each of said first mating members being aligned with said distal end of said respective first strap.   
     
     
         4 . The assembly according to  claim 3 , wherein:
 each of said second straps is attached to and extends away from said bottom wall of said annular bladder, each of said second straps being aligned with said outwardly facing side of said outer wall of said annular bladder, a respective one of said second straps being aligned with said back end of said annular bladder, a respective pair of said second straps being positioned between said second strap aligned with said back end and said front end of said annular bladder, each of said second straps having a distal end with respect to said annular bladder and a top surface; and   a plurality of second mating members, each of said second mating members being attached to said top surface of a respective one of said second straps, each of said second mating members being aligned with said distal end of said respective second strap, each of said second mating members being releasably matable to said first mating member on a respective one of said first straps.

The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein said inflation port is integrated into said outwardly facing side of said outer wall of said annular bladder, said inflation port being positioned adjacent to an intersection between said curved portion of said outwardly facing side and said planar portion of said outwardly facing side, said inflation port being actuatable into a first condition having said inflation port facilitating air to pass into or out of said annular bladder thereby facilitating said annular bladder to be inflated or deflated; said inflation port being actuatable into a second condition having said inflation port inhibiting air from passing into or out of said annular bladder thereby inhibiting said annular bladder from being inflated or deflated.

The assembly according to  claim 5 , wherein said pump comprises a bellows having a lower plate, an upper plate and a membrane extending between said upper plate and said lower plate, said lower plate being positionable on a floor thereby facilitating said upper plate to be stepped upon for collapsing said bellows, said pump having an output port being fluidly integrated into said upper plate thereby facilitating air to be urged outwardly through said output port when said upper plate is urged downwardly toward said lower plate, said pump having an air hose being fluidly coupled to said output port, said air hose being fluidly attachable to said inflation port on said annular bladder thereby facilitating said pump to inflate said annular bladder. 
     
     
         7 . An inflatable toilet seat assembly for increasing the height of a toilet seat to assist a physically limited user to sit on the toilet seat, said assembly comprising:
 a toilet seat being hingedly disposed on a toilet thereby facilitating said toilet seat to be sat upon, said toilet seat having a top surface;   an annular bladder being positionable on top of said toilet seat, said annular bladder being inflatable for increasing the total height of said annular bladder and said toilet seat thereby assisting a physically limited user with sitting upon said annular bladder, said annular bladder having a top wall, a bottom wall and an outer wall extending between said top wall and said bottom wall, said outer wall having an inwardly facing side and an outwardly facing side, said inwardly facing side being continuously arcuate about a center point of said annular bladder, annular bladder being elongated along an axis extending through a front end and a back end of said annular bladder such that said inwardly facing side defines an ovoid opening in said annular bladder, said outwardly facing side having a planar portion extending between a curved portion, said planar portion being positioned on said back side of said annular bladder thereby facilitating said planar portion to be abutted against a tank of the toilet when said annular bladder is positioned on said toilet seat, said curved portion being co-arcuate with said inwardly facing side, said bottom wall resting upon said top surface of said toilet seat thereby facilitating the physically limited user to sit upon said top wall of said annular bladder, said top wall being spaced from said bottom wall a variety of distances corresponding to a degree to which said annular bladder is inflated for accommodating the needs of the physically limited user;   a plurality of first straps, each of said first straps being attached to said annular bladder and being extendable around said toilet seat, each of said first straps being attached to and extending away from said bottom wall of said annular bladder, each of said first straps being aligned with said inwardly facing side of said outer wall of said annular bladder, a respective one of said first straps being aligned with said back end of said annular bladder, a respective pair of said first straps being positioned between said first strap aligned with said back end and said front end of said annular bladder, each of said first straps having a distal end with respect to said annular bladder and a top surface;   a plurality of first mating members, each of said first mating members being attached to said top surface of a respective one of said first straps, each of said first mating members being aligned with said distal end of said respective first strap;   a plurality of second straps, each of said second straps being attached to said annular bladder and being extendable around said toilet seat, each of said second straps being releasably matable to a respective one of said first straps for securing said annular bladder to said toilet seat, each of said second straps being attached to and extending away from said bottom wall of said annular bladder, each of said second straps being aligned with said outwardly facing side of said outer wall of said annular bladder, a respective one of said second straps being aligned with said back end of said annular bladder, a respective pair of said second straps being positioned between said second strap aligned with said back end and said front end of said annular bladder, each of said second straps having a distal end with respect to said annular bladder and a top surface;   a plurality of second mating members, each of said second mating members being attached to said top surface of a respective one of said second straps, each of said second mating members being aligned with said distal end of said respective second strap, each of said second mating members being releasably matable to said first mating member on a respective one of said first straps;   an inflation port being integrated into said annular bladder such that said inflation port is in fluid communication with an interior of said annular bladder, said inflation port being integrated into said outwardly facing side of said outer wall of said annular bladder, said inflation port being positioned adjacent to an intersection between said curved portion of said outwardly facing side and said planar portion of said outwardly facing side, said inflation port being actuatable into a first condition having said inflation port facilitating air to pass into or out of said annular bladder thereby facilitating said annular bladder to be inflated or deflated; said inflation port being actuatable into a second condition having said inflation port inhibiting air from passing into or out of said annular bladder thereby inhibiting said annular bladder from being inflated or deflated; and   a pump being fluidly attachable to said inflation port for inflating said annular bladder to an adjustable amount of total inflation wherein a height of said bladder is adjustable, said pump comprising a bellows having a lower plate, an upper plate and a membrane extending between said upper plate and said lower plate, said lower plate being positionable on a floor thereby facilitating said upper plate to be stepped upon for collapsing said bellows, said pump having an output port being fluidly integrated into said upper plate thereby facilitating air to be urged outwardly through said output port when said upper plate is urged downwardly toward said lower plate, said pump having an air hose being fluidly coupled to said output port, said air hose being fluidly attachable to said inflation port on said annular bladder thereby facilitating said pump to inflate said annular bladder.
