Beverage Lid Device With Straw Holding Structure

Abstract

A beverage lid device with straw holding structure is provided comprised of a beverage lid body with at least one straw that removably attaches to the body, and wherein the body attaches to a cup. The attachment point may be in the form of a clip, a prong, a fastener, an eyelet, etc. that allows the straw to be removably secured to the lid body while the cup, lid, and straw are passed from an employee to a customer. Then, a customer can remove the straw from the lid body and insert the straw into the lid body.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure comprising:
 a lid body comprised of a top surface and a side surface;   a straw opening positioned on the top surface;   a straw; and   an attachment point that receives the straw, wherein the attachment point is positioned on the lid body.   
     
     
         2 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 1 , wherein the attachment point is comprised of a prong. 
     
     
         3 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 1 , wherein the attachment point is comprised of a clip. 
     
     
         4 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 1 , wherein the attachment point is comprised of a fastener. 
     
     
         5 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener is comprised of an adhesive fastener. 
     
     
         6 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 1 , wherein the attachment point is comprised of an eyelet. 
     
     
         7 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 6 , wherein an opening of the eyelet receives the straw. 
     
     
         8 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 4 , wherein the straw is enclosed in a wrapper. 
     
     
         9 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 8 , wherein the wrapper attaches to the fastener. 
     
     
         10 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure comprising:
 a lid body comprised of a top surface and a side surface;   a straw opening positioned on the top surface;   a straw;   an attachment point that receives the straw, wherein the attachment point is positioned on the lid body; and   a cup comprised of an opening.   
     
     
         11 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 10 , wherein the cup is comprised of a first lip. 
     
     
         12 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 11 , wherein the lid is comprised of a second lip that attaches over the first lip. 
     
     
         13 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 10 , wherein the attachment point is comprised of a prong, a clip, a fastener, or an eyelet. 
     
     
         14 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 13 , wherein the attachment point is positioned on the side surface. 
     
     
         15 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 13 , wherein the attachment point is positioned on the top surface. 
     
     
         16 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 10 , wherein the top surface is comprised of a content indicator. 
     
     
         17 . A beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 10 , wherein the top surface is comprised of an indicia. 
     
     
         18 . A method of using a beverage lid device with straw holding structure, the method comprising the following steps:
 providing a beverage lid device with straw holding structure comprised of a lid body comprised of an attachment point for a straw;   attaching the lid body to a cup;   attaching the straw to the attachment point; and   removing the straw from the attachment point and placing the straw into a straw opening of the lid body.   
     
     
         19 . A method of using a beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 18 , wherein the attachment point is comprised of a prong, a clip, a fastener or an eyelet. 
     
     
         20 . A method of using a beverage lid device with straw holding structure of  claim 19 , wherein the attachment point is positioned on a top surface or a side surface of the lid body.
