Abstract

A pet hair removal tool for brushing pet hair off of furniture includes a handle with a brush head extending from one end of the handle and a brush cover encasing the brush head. The brush head is constructed of a resiliently deformable and absorbent material, and the brush cover is constructed of a resiliently flexible and absorbent material with a smooth surface facing away from said brush head. The brush head and brush cover are configured to conform to a shape of a furniture surface when pressed onto the furniture surface, thereby facilitating sweeping a hair on the furniture surface into a pile.

I claim:

1 . A pet hair sweeping device comprising:
a handle having a first end and a second end; a brush head being coupled to and extending from said second end of said handle, said brush head being constructed of a resiliently deformable and absorbent material, said brush head being configured for conforming to a shape of a furniture surface while being pressed onto the furniture surface; and a brush cover encasing said brush head, said brush cover having a smooth surface facing away from said brush head, said brush cover being constructed of a resiliently flexible and absorbent material, said brush cover being configured for conforming to a shape of a furniture surface while being pressed onto the furniture surface, said brush cover being configured for sweeping a hair on the furniture surface into a pile by being dragged along the furniture surface.

2 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said handle being elongate between said first end and said second end.

3 . The device of claim 2 , further comprising said handle having an edge extending along said first end perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis of said handle, said second end being circular.

4 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said handle being widest at a middle portion of said handle and tapering from said middle portion toward each of said first end and said second end.

5 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said brush head having a proximal end relative to said handle and a distal end relative to said handle, said brush head being elongate between said proximal end and said distal end.

6 . The device of claim 5 , further comprising said brush head having an elliptical cross-section.

7 . The device of claim 5 , further comprising said brush head having a circular cross-section.

8 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said brush head being constructed of foam rubber.

9 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said brush cover being constructed of chamois leather.

10 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising said brush cover being constructed of nonwoven viscose.

11 . A pet hair sweeping device comprising:
a handle having a first end and a second end, said handle being elongate between said first end and said second end, said handle being widest at a middle portion of said handle and tapering from said middle portion toward each of said first end and said second end, said handle having an edge extending along said first end perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis of said handle, said second end being circular; a brush head being coupled to and extending from said second end of said handle, said brush head having a proximal end relative to said handle and a distal end relative to said handle, said brush head being elongate between said proximal end and said distal end, said brush head having an elliptical cross-section, a major axis of said elliptical cross-section being aligned with said edge of said handle, said brush head being constructed of a resiliently deformable and absorbent material, said brush head being configured for conforming to a shape of a furniture surface while being pressed onto the furniture surface; and a brush cover encasing said brush head, said brush cover having a smooth surface facing away from said brush head, said brush cover being constructed of a resiliently flexible and absorbent material, said brush cover being configured for conforming to a shape of a furniture surface while being pressed onto the furniture surface, said brush cover being configured for sweeping a hair on the furniture surface into a pile by being dragged along the furniture surface.
