Apparatus for Forming Smoking Articles and Method Thereof

Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming smoking items. For each smoking article, the apparatus includes a rolling tray designed to hold a smoking paper. The rolling tray features a lip that projects out and curves downward to create a mould for holding the smoking paper. Dry herb then slides off the rolling tray's mould to create smoking articles. The apparatus further includes a sleeve component coupled to the rolling tray, the sleeve component having at least three side walls connected to a base. There is a cutout in the side walls that are opposite one another for the rolling tray's lip. The sleeve component is replaceable or can be removed and replaced with another sleeve component.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for forming smoking articles, the apparatus comprising:
 a rolling tray adapted to receive a smoking paper for each smoking article, the rolling tray has a lip extending out and curving downward to generate a mould for holding the smoking paper, where dry herb slides off of the mould of the rolling tray to form smoking articles; and   a sleeve component engaged with the rolling tray, the sleeve component having at least three side walls associated with a base of the sleeve component,   wherein the side walls opposite to each other includes a cut out for engaging the lip of the rolling tray.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the sleeve component is a removable component. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the sleeve component comprises a silicon sleeve component. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the silicone sleeve component is removable or replaceable with a different sleeve component. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the smoking articles comprises cigarettes, cigars, or any foregoing combination. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the sleeve component is a flexible component. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the lip of the rolling tray curving downward has a tilted angle. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the corresponding side walls of the rolling tray all have rounded edges. 
     
     
         9 . A method for creating an apparatus for forming smoking articles, the method comprising:
 receiving a smoking paper for each smoking article using a rolling tray, the rolling tray has a lip extending out and curving downward to generate a mould for holding the smoking paper, where dry herb slides off of the mould of the rolling tray to form smoking articles;   engaging a sleeve component with the rolling tray, the sleeve component having at least three side walls associated with a base of the sleeve component; and   sliding the rolling tray's lip into the cut-out on the opposite side walls to form the smoking articles.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the method further comprising removing or replacing the sleeve component with a different sleeve component.
