Abstract
An off-set flywheel exercise system, and in particular a flywheel resistance workout system using a horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance workout system with a grab bar, a strap, an offset anchor, a strap retractor and a strap coupled to the fly wheel resistance device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedTherefore, having thus described the invention, at least the following is claimed:
1 . A horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance workout system, comprising:
a base structure that permits a user to stand upon; a grab bar that is configured to be grasped by a user during an exercise motion a strap connecting said grab bar and attached to a horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance device that opposes the exercise motion made by a user and moves freely through an anchor during the exercise motion; an offset anchor attached to said base structure; a strap retractor that retains additional strap used to adjust the length of the strap based upon the user's preferences where said strap is held stationary during use by a spring-loaded clamp; and a strap coupled to the fly wheel resistance device, wherein the strap is coupled to a snatch block by said strap clamp and then attached to the grab bar.
2 . The horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance workout system of claim 1 , wherein the base structure further comprises:
a pulley mounted within the offset anchor; said strap is inserted into a main shaft of said horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance device to freely rotate around the first axle; and a second axle inserted through a center of the second pulley and sized to permit the second pulley to freely rotate around the second axle.
3 . The horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance workout system of claim 2 ,
wherein a first end of the first axle is secured to one edge of the base structure and a second end of the first axle is secured to the flywheel resistance device.
4 . The horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance workout system of claim 3 .
wherein a first end of the second axle is secured in the middle point of the base structure to the first anchor wall and a second end of the second axle is secured to the second anchor wall.
5 . The horizontally-positioned fly wheel resistance workout system of claim 4 ,
wherein the strap is secured through the pulley during the exercise motion being performed by the user.
6 . The fly wheel resistance workout system of claim 5 ,
wherein an outside surface of the retainer bar is coated with a material that has a low friction coefficient and wherein the low friction coefficient reduces frictional drag exerted on the strap by the anchor as the user is performing the exercise motion using the fly wheel resistance workout system that is coupled to the strap.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
