Power supply unit for aerosol generating device
Abstract
A power supply unit for an aerosol generating device, the power supply unit includes: a power supply; a heater connector to which a heater configured to heat an aerosol source by consuming a power supplied from the power supply is connected; a controller configured to control a supply of a power from the power supply to the heater and including a power supply terminal configured to receive a power for operation; a switch configured to connect the power supply and the power supply terminal of the controller; and a restart circuit configured to control opening and closing of the switch. The restart circuit performs a first operation of opening the switch when a restart condition is satisfied, and performs a second operation of closing the switch after performing the first operation.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A power supply unit for an aerosol generating device, the power supply unit comprising:
a power supply; a heater connector to which a heater configured to heat an aerosol source by consuming a power supplied from the power supply is connected; a controller configured to control a supply of a power from the power supply to the heater and including a power supply terminal configured to receive a power for operation; a switch configured to connect the power supply and the power supply terminal of the controller; and a restart circuit configured to control opening and closing of the switch, wherein the restart circuit performs a first operation of opening the switch when a restart condition is satisfied, and performs a second operation of closing the switch after performing the first operation.
2 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the restart circuit performs the second operation even if the restart condition is continuously satisfied after performing the first operation.
3 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 1 , wherein a predetermined operation performed by a user is required to be continued for a predetermined period in order to satisfy the restart condition.
4 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 3 , further comprising:
a notification unit configured to perform a notification to a user, wherein the controller is configured to detect the predetermined operation, and cause, after the predetermined operation is continued for the predetermined period and the restart condition is satisfied and before the first operation is performed, the notification unit to perform a notification.
5 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 4 , further comprising:
a connector to which the notification unit is connected, wherein the connector is connected in parallel to the power supply terminal of the controller.
6 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 4 , wherein
the controller is configured to cause, after the restart condition is satisfied and before the first operation is performed, the notification unit to complete a notification.
7 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 1 , wherein
the switch includes an input terminal connected to the power supply, an output terminal connected to the power supply terminal of the controller, and a control terminal, and is configured to close, when a high-level voltage is input to the control terminal, an electrical connection between the input terminal and the output terminal, and the input terminal is connected in parallel to the control terminal.
8 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 7 , wherein
the restart circuit includes a restart terminal connected to the control terminal of the switch, and is configured to set, when the restart condition is satisfied, a potential of the restart terminal to a low level.
9 . The power supply unit for an aerosol generating device according to claim 8 , wherein
the restart circuit includes a first input terminal and a second input terminal, a first-level voltage is required to be input to the first input terminal and a second-level voltage is required to be input to the second input terminal in order to satisfy the restart condition, and a user operation required to input the first-level voltage to the first input terminal is different from a user operation required to input the second-level voltage to the second input terminal.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
