Abstract

A computer-implemented method of providing a notification to a user may include: obtaining a plurality of trigger conditions; monitoring a web session of the user to determine whether a trigger condition of the plurality of trigger conditions is satisfied; and in response to determining that the trigger condition is satisfied, executing a notification process, wherein the notification process includes: obtaining vendor information based on the trigger condition that is triggered, the vendor information including information associated with one or more vendors associated with the trigger condition that is triggered and/or alternative offer information associated with the one or more vendors; and causing display of a notification, the notification including information corresponding to the one or more vendors and/or the alternative offer information.

What is claimed is:

         1 . A method for providing a notification to a user, comprising:
obtaining a plurality of trigger conditions; monitoring a web session of the user to determine whether a trigger condition of the plurality of trigger conditions is satisfied; and in response to determining that the trigger condition is satisfied, executing a notification process, wherein the notification process includes:
obtaining vendor information based on the trigger condition that is triggered, the vendor information including information associated with one or more vendors associated with the trigger condition that is triggered and/or alternative offer information associated with the one or more vendors; and
causing display of a notification, the notification including information corresponding to the one or more vendors and/or the alternative offer information.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising, before the monitoring the web session of the user:
detecting whether the user is using a browser; in response to detecting that the user is using the browser, determining whether a notification display value is below a notification display threshold; in response to determining that the notification display value meets or exceeds the notification display threshold, waiting until the notification display value is reset to monitor the web session to determine whether the trigger condition of the plurality of trigger conditions is satisfied; and in response to determining that the notification display value is below the notification display threshold, monitoring the web session to determine whether the trigger condition of the plurality of trigger conditions is satisfied.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of trigger conditions include one or more of a first trigger condition, a second trigger condition, a third trigger condition, and a fourth trigger condition, wherein
the first trigger condition rule associates a first set of uniform resource locators (URLs) with a first set of transaction intents to determine a mapped transaction intent, the second trigger condition rule associates user actions on webpages of a second set of URLs with a second set of transaction intents to determine a specific transaction intent, the third trigger condition rule analyzes a currently viewed webpage to determine a webpage transaction intent, and the fourth trigger condition rule analyzes a search query entered by the user to determine a search transaction intent.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the first trigger condition is triggered by:
obtaining a URL of the currently viewed webpage; determining whether the obtained URL is a first URL of the first set of URLs; in response to determining that the obtained URL is the first URL of the first set of URLs, determining the mapped transaction intent from the first set of transaction intents based on the first URL; and triggering the first trigger condition rule based on the determined mapped transaction intent.

5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the second trigger condition is triggered by:

6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the third trigger condition is triggered by:
obtaining data associated with the currently viewed webpage; parsing the data to extract webpage content; determining whether the webpage elements include transaction intent indicators; in response to the determining that the webpage elements include transaction intent indicators, applying natural language processing to text of the webpage content to determine the webpage transaction intent; and triggering the third trigger condition rule based on the determined webpage transaction intent.

7 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the fourth trigger condition is triggered by:
obtaining the search query; parsing the search query to extract search query elements; determining whether the search query elements include transaction intent indicators; in response to the determining that the search query elements include transaction intent indicators, applying natural language processing to text of the search query elements to determine the search transaction intent; and triggering the fourth trigger condition rule based on the determined search transaction intent.

8 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the first set of URLs correspond to websites that have transaction intent indicators for only a single category of transaction.

9 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the second set of URLs correspond to websites that have transaction intent indicators for different categories of transactions.

10 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the obtaining the vendor information based on the trigger condition that is triggered includes:
obtaining a target transaction intent, the target transaction intent being one of the search transaction intent, the webpage transaction intent, the specific transaction intent, or the mapped transaction intent based on which of the first trigger condition, the second trigger condition, the third trigger condition, and the fourth trigger condition is triggered; obtaining associated vendor relationship information, the associated vendor relationship information indicating, for each of a plurality target transaction intents, one or more associated vendors; and determining the one or more vendors based on the target transaction intent and the target vendor relationship information.

11 . A system for generating a notification for a user, the system comprising:
a memory storing instructions; and a processor executing the instructions to perform a process including:
 obtaining a plurality of trigger conditions;
monitoring a web session of the user to determine whether a trigger condition of the plurality of trigger conditions is satisfied; and
