Presenting Content Based on Activity
Abstract
Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for presenting content based on activity. In various implementations, a device includes a sensor, a non-transitory memory and one or more processors coupled with the sensor and the non-transitory memory. In various implementations, a method includes obtaining environmental data via the sensor. In some implementations, the method includes identifying a physical activity of a user of the device based on the environmental data. In some implementations, the method includes obtaining contextual data associated with the device or the user of the device. In some implementations, the method includes presenting content based on the physical activity of the user and the contextual data associated with the device or the user of the device.

21 . A method comprising:
at a device including a sensor, a non-transitory memory and one or more processors coupled with the sensor and the non-transitory memory:
obtaining, via the sensor, sensor data that indicates a location of the device;
determining whether the location of the device corresponds to a first type of location or a second type of location that is different from the first type of location;
presenting a first media content item in response to determining that the location of the device corresponds to the first type of location; and
presenting a second media content item that is different from the first media content item in response to determining that the location of the device corresponds to the second type of location.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein presenting the first media content item comprises selecting the first media content item from a plurality of media content items stored in a content datastore; and
wherein presenting the second media content item comprises selecting the second media content item from the plurality of media content items stored in the content datastore.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first type of location includes a public location where a user and other people can see or listen to the first media content item being presented by the device; and
wherein the second type of location includes a private location where the other people cannot see or listen to the second media content item being presented by the device.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first media content item includes a first playlist and the second media content item includes a second playlist that is different from the first playlist.
25 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the first playlist includes a public playlist and the second playlist includes a private playlist.
26 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the first media content item includes a first set of sound effects and the second media content item includes a second set of sound effects that is different from the first set of sound effects.
27 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the sensor data further indicates a physical activity of a user of the device;
wherein presenting the first media content item comprises selecting the first media content item from a plurality of media content items based on the physical activity and the location being the first type of location; and wherein presenting the second media content item comprises selecting the second media content item from the plurality of media content items based on the physical activity and the location being the second type of location.
28 . A non-transitory memory storing one or more programs, which, when executed by one or more processors of a device with a sensor, cause the device to:
obtain, via the sensor, sensor data that indicates a location of the device; determine whether the location of the device corresponds to a first type of location or a second type of location that is different from the first type of location; present a first media content item in response to determining that the location of the device corresponds to the first type of location; and present a second media content item that is different from the first media content item in response to determining that the location of the device corresponds to the second type of location.
29 . The non-transitory memory of claim 28 , wherein presenting the first media content item comprises selecting the first media content item from a plurality of media content items stored in a content datastore; and
wherein presenting the second media content item comprises selecting the second media content item from the plurality of media content items stored in the content datastore.
30 . The non-transitory memory of claim 28 , wherein the first type of location includes a public location where a user and other people can see or listen to the first media content item being presented by the device; and
wherein the second type of location includes a private location where the other people cannot see or listen to the second media content item being presented by the device.
31 . The non-transitory memory of claim 28 , wherein the first media content item includes a first playlist and the second media content item includes a second playlist that is different from the first playlist.
32 . The non-transitory memory of claim 31 , wherein the first playlist includes a public playlist and the second playlist includes a private playlist.
33 . The non-transitory memory of claim 28 , wherein the first media content item includes a first set of sound effects and the second media content item includes a second set of sound effects that is different from the first set of sound effects.
34 . The non-transitory memory of claim 28 , wherein the sensor data further indicates a physical activity of a user of the device;
wherein presenting the first media content item comprises selecting the first media content item from a plurality of media content items based on the physical activity and the location being the first type of location; and wherein presenting the second media content item comprises selecting the second media content item from the plurality of media content items based on the physical activity and the location being the second type of location.
35 . A device comprising:
a sensor; one or more processors; a non-transitory memory; and one or more programs stored in the non-transitory memory, which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
obtain, via the sensor, sensor data that indicates a location of the device;
determine whether the location of the device corresponds to a first type of location or a second type of location that is different from the first type of location;
present a first media content item in response to determining that the location of the device corresponds to the first type of location; and
present a second media content item that is different from the first media content item in response to determining that the location of the device corresponds to the second type of location.
36 . The device of claim 35 , wherein presenting the first media content item comprises selecting the first media content item from a plurality of media content items stored in a content datastore; and
wherein presenting the second media content item comprises selecting the second media content item from the plurality of media content items stored in the content datastore.
37 . The device of claim 35 , wherein the first type of location includes a public location where a user and other people can see or listen to the first media content item being presented by the device; and
wherein the second type of location includes a private location where the other people cannot see or listen to the second media content item being presented by the device.
38 . The device of claim 35 , wherein the first media content item includes a first playlist and the second media content item includes a second playlist that is different from the first playlist.
39 . The device of claim 38 , wherein the first playlist includes a public playlist and the second playlist includes a private playlist.
40 . The device of claim 35 , wherein the sensor data further indicates a physical activity of a user of the device;
wherein presenting the first media content item comprises selecting the first media content item from a plurality of media content items based on the physical activity and the location being the first type of location; and wherein presenting the second media content item comprises selecting the second media content item from the plurality of media content items based on the physical activity and the location being the second type of location.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
