Abstract

Provided herein are therapeutic nucleic acid molecules for managing, preventing and/or treating infectious diseases caused by coronavirus. Also provided herein are therapeutic compositions, including vaccines and lipid nanoparticles, comprising the therapeutic nucleic acids and related therapeutic methods and uses.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising a nucleic acid encoding an immunogenic fragment of the spike (S) protein of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and at least one lipid, wherein the immunogenic fragment comprises a sequence encoded by any one of SEQ ID NOS: 9, 11, 13 and 15, and wherein the at least one lipid comprises a cationic lipid. 
     
     
         85 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 84 , wherein the at least one lipid comprises between about 40 and about 50 mol percent of the cationic lipid.
