Abstract
A method of processing video data includes using a scalability dimension information (SDI) supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message to indicate an SDI view identifier length minus L syntax element; and converting between a video media file and the bitstream based on the SDI SEI message. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium are also disclosed.

1 . A method of processing video data, comprising:
performing, for a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, according to a rule, wherein the rule specifies that a supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message having a payload type equal to 179 is not included in a scalable nesting SEI message.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the SEI message having the payload type equal to 179 is a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the MAI SEI message is not scalable-nested.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the rule further specifies that in a case that a coded video sequence (CVS) for the video does not contain a scalability dimension information (SDI) SEI message, the CVS does not contain a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the rule specifies that a length of a first syntax element indicating a view identifier of a current layer in a current coded video sequence (CVS) for the video is based on a value of a second syntax element in a scalability dimension information (SDI) SEI message, and
wherein the second syntax element plus one specifies the length, in bits, of the first syntax element.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the second syntax element is coded as an unsigned integer using N bits, and N is an integer.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein N is equal to 4.
8 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the first syntax element is represented as sdi_view_id_val H and the second syntax element is represented as sdi_view_id_len_minus1.
9 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the first syntax element and the second syntax element are conditionally included in the bitstream based on a value of a third syntax element indicating whether the current CVS has multiple views or not.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein in a case that the value of the third syntax element is equal to 1, the first syntax element and the second syntax element are included in the SDI SEI message in the bitstream, and
in a case that the value of the third syntax element is equal to 0, the first syntax element and the second syntax element are not included in the SDI SEI message in the bitstream.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the bitstream is a bitstream in scope.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the rule further specifies that a SEI message having a payload type equal to 3, 133, 180, or 205 is not included in the scalable nesting SEI message.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the conversion comprises encoding the video into the bitstream.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the conversion comprises decoding the video from the bitstream.
15 . An apparatus for processing video data comprising a processor and a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor cause the processor to:
perform, for a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, according to a rule, wherein the rule specifies that a supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message having a payload type equal to 179 is not included in a scalable nesting SEI message.
16 . The apparatus of claim 15 , where in the SEI message having the payload type equal to 179 is a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message,
wherein the MAI SEI message is not scalable-nested, and wherein the rule further specifies that in a case that a coded video sequence (CVS) for the video does not contain a scalability dimension information (SDI) SEI message, the CVS does not contain a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message.
17 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that cause a processor to:
perform, for a conversion between a video and a bitstream of the video, according to a rule, wherein the rule specifies that a supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message having a payload type equal to 179 is not included in a scalable nesting SEI message.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17 , where in the SEI message having the payload type equal to 179 is a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message,
wherein the MAI SEI message is not scalable-nested, and wherein the rule further specifies that in a case that a coded video sequence (CVS) for the video does not contain a scalability dimension information (SDI) SEI message, the CVS does not contain a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message.
19 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a bitstream of a video which is generated by a method performed by a video processing apparatus, wherein the method comprises:
generating the bitstream of the video according to a rule, wherein the rule specifies that a supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message having a payload type equal to 179 is not included in a scalable nesting SEI message.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable recording medium of claim 19 , where in the SEI message having the payload type equal to 179 is a multiview acquisition information (MAI) SEI message,
