Abstract
Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.

1 . A method comprising:
causing output, by a computing device and via a user interface associated with a premises management system located at a premises, of a first user interface element representing at least a portion of the premises; causing output, via the user interface, of a second user interface element located proximate the first user interface element, wherein the second user interface element comprises a plurality of types of structural elements; receiving, via the second user interface element, a first user selection associated with one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements; receiving, via the first user interface element, a second user selection associated with an area of the at least the portion of the premises; and causing output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of an indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, via the first user interface element, a third user selection associated with a second area of the at least the portion of the premises; and causing output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of a premises device icon associated with the premises management system.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
receiving, from the premises management system, data; and causing output, via the user interface, of an indication of the data.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of types of structural elements comprises a plurality of types of wall piece indicators.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the second user selection comprises a dragging operation, and wherein causing output of the indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements further comprises causing output of at least one wall piece indicator of the one type at the selected area of the at least the portion of the premises.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first user interface element comprises at least one premises device icon associated with the premises management system, and further comprising: hiding, based at least in part on causing output of the second user interface element, the at least one premises device icon.
7 . A device comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
cause output, via a user interface associated with a premises management system located at a premises, of a first user interface element representing at least a portion of the premises;
cause output, via the user interface, of a second user interface element located proximate the first user interface element, wherein the second user interface element comprises a plurality of types of structural elements;
receive, via the second user interface element, a first user selection associated with one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements;
receive, via the first user interface element, a second user selection associated with an area of the at least the portion of the premises; and
cause output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of an indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements.
8 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the device to:
receive, via the first user interface element, a third user selection associated with a second area of the at least the portion of the premises; and cause output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of a premises device icon associated with the premises management system.
9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the device to:
receive, from the premises management system, data; and cause output, via the user interface, of an indication of the data.
10 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of types of structural elements comprises a plurality of types of wall piece indicators.
11 . The device of claim 10 , wherein the second user selection comprises a dragging operation, and wherein the output of the indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements further comprises output of at least one wall piece indicator of the one type at the selected area of the at least the portion of the premises.
12 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the first user interface element comprises at least one premises device icon associated with the premises management system, and wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause the device to: hide, based at least in part on causing output of the second user interface element, the at least one premises device icon.
13 . A system comprising:
a premises management system located at a premises; and a computing device configured to communicate with the premises management system, wherein the computing device is configured to:
cause output, via a user interface associated with the premises management system, of a first user interface element representing at least a portion of the premises;
cause output, via the user interface, of a second user interface element located proximate the first user interface element, wherein the second user interface element comprises a plurality of types of structural elements;
receive, via the second user interface element, a first user selection associated with one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements;
receive, via the first user interface element, a second user selection associated with an area of the at least the portion of the premises; and
cause output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of an indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the computing device is further configured to:
receive, via the first user interface element, a third user selection associated with a second area of the at least the portion of the premises; and cause output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of a premises device icon associated with the premises management system.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the computing device is further configured to:
receive, from the premises management system, data; and cause output, via the user interface, of an indication of the data.
16 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of types of structural elements comprises a plurality of types of wall piece indicators.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the second user selection comprises a dragging operation, and wherein the output of the indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements further comprises output of at least one wall piece indicator of the one type at the selected area of the at least the portion of the premises.
18 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the first user interface element comprises at least one premises device icon associated with the premises management system, and wherein the computing device is further configured to: hide, based at least in part on causing output of the second user interface element, the at least one premises device icon.
19 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
causing output, by a computing device and via a user interface associated with a premises management system located at a premises, of a first user interface element representing at least a portion of the premises; causing output, via the user interface, of a second user interface element located proximate the first user interface element, wherein the second user interface element comprises a plurality of types of structural elements; receiving, via the second user interface element, a first user selection associated with one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements; receiving, via the first user interface element, a second user selection associated with an area of the at least the portion of the premises; and causing output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of an indication of the one type of the plurality of types of the structural elements.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the instructions that, when executed further cause:
receiving, via the first user interface element, a third user selection associated with a second area of the at least the portion of the premises; and causing output, via the first user interface element and at the selected area, of a premises device icon associated with the premises management system.
21 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 20 , wherein the instructions that, when executed further cause:
