Abstract

The present teachings provide methods for providing populations of single-walled carbon nanotubes that are substantially monodisperse in terms of diameter, electronic type, and/or chirality. Also provided are single-walled carbon nanotube populations provided thereby and articles of manufacture including such populations.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A population of single-walled carbon nanotubes, wherein greater than about 90% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

2 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 1 , wherein greater than about 92% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

3 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 1 , wherein greater than about 95% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

4 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 1 , wherein greater than about 97% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

5 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 1 , wherein greater than about 99% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

6 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 1 , wherein greater than about 99.9% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

7 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 1 , wherein greater than about 90% and up to about 99.3% of the population are metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes.

8 . The population of claim 1 dispersed in a liquid medium comprising two surface active components of different types.

9 . A population of single-walled carbon nanotubes, wherein greater than about 92% of the population are semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.

10 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 9 , wherein greater than about 95% of the population are semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.

11 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 9 , wherein greater than about 97% of the population are semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.

12 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 9 , wherein greater than about 99% of the population are semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.

13 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 9 , wherein greater than about 99.9% of the population are semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.

14 . The population of single-walled carbon nanotubes of claim 9 , wherein greater that about 92% and up to about 97.4% of the population are semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.

15 . The population of claim 9 dispersed in a liquid medium comprising two surface active components of different types.
