Abstract

Provided are private networks for peer-to-peer financial transactions and value transfers comprising, for each peer-to-peer financial transaction, an electronic document comprising at least the core terms of the peer-to-peer financial transactions; a unique identifier for that transaction; the identities of each party involved in the transaction; an authorization approval section for the document that requires use of the signing key unique to a party authorizing the transaction; and a timestamp corresponding to the time a party authorized the transaction.

         18 . A private network for peer-to-peer financial transactions comprising:
 a) a plurality of parties each having:
 1) a unique identity within the network; 
 2) at least one virtual account in the private network; and 
 3) a signing key unique to that party for authorizing peer-to-peer transactions; 
   b) for each peer-to-peer financial transaction, an electronic document comprising:
 1) at least the core terms of the peer-to-peer financial transactions; 
 2) a unique identifier for that transaction; 
 3) the identities of each party involved in the transaction; 
 4)an authorization approval section for the document that requires use of the signing key unique to a party authorizing the transaction; and 
 5) a timestamp corresponding to the time a party authorized the transaction; 
   c) a plurality of networked servers comprising at least one distributed database comprising electronic tokens representing the blockchain digital currency of  claim 17 , and an electronic document for each peer-to-peer financial transaction; and   d) a payment module comprising computer instructions capable of being executed on the network said instructions for transferring a specified amount of blockchain digital currency from the virtual account of a first party who authorizes a specified transaction comprising payment of the specified amount of the blockchain digital currency to the virtual account of a second party, upon authorization of the specified transaction using the signing key;   
       wherein the electronic document for each peer-to-peer financial transaction comprises a blockchain of data that provides security, traceability, and an audit trail for each transaction; 
       wherein if the authorization approval section for the electronic document for a transaction has been signed with the authorized key, the payment module is executed. 
     
     
         19 . The private network of  claim 18  further comprising means for peer-to-peer data transfer and peer-to-peer value transfer. 
     
     
         20 . The private network of  claim 19  wherein the data transfer and the value transfer are substantially simultaneous.
