Abstract
Apparatus, system and method for supply chain management (SCM) system processing. A SCM operating platform is operatively coupled to SCM modules for collecting, storing, distributing and processing SCM data to determine statistical opportunities and risk in a SCM hierarchy. SCM risk processing may be utilized to determine risk values that are dependent upon SCM attributes. Multiple SCM risk processing results may be produced for further drill-down by a user. SCM network nodes, their relation and status may further be produced for fast and efficient status determination.

1 . A primary node comprising a platform associated with a plurality of applications associated with data hooks for supply chain risk management:
a processor; and a memory storing instructions that when executed by a processor causes the processor to perform the operations of: receiving base data by:
(i) receiving first data from a plurality of supply chain nodes using the data hooks associated with the plurality of applications;
(ii) receiving second data from a plurality of data sources using the data hooks associated with the plurality of applications;
producing secondary data based on a plurality of rules; calculating a comparative opportunity value from the secondary data, the comparative opportunity value comprising a risk to the supply chain of an imbalance; and displaying a plurality of data outputs, wherein displaying comprises:
(a) generating a first output including the comparative opportunity value comprising the risk to the supply chain of an imbalance;
(b) displaying a bubble chart comprising a plurality of bubbles; and
(c) launching an analytics window by selecting, by a user, one of the bubbles from the plurality of bubbles from the bubble chart, wherein the analytics window comprises graphical and textual data.
2 . A supply chain risk management system for managing varying risk of insufficient supply across a supply chain comprising a plurality of supply chain nodes, comprising:
a plurality of data inputs comprising data hooks that:
receive primary hardware and software data from at least two of the supply chain nodes, each of the at least two of the supply chain nodes having its own discrete computer network and being separately owned and controlled; and
receive third party data from a plurality of data sources separate from the supply chain nodes;
a plurality of rules of a software comparator module stored in at least one memory element associated with at least one processor at a supply chain management node of the supply chain distinct from the at least two supply chain nodes and configured to perform operations on the primary hardware and software data to produce secondary data upon direction from the at least one processor, the plurality of rules including rules providing a comparative opportunity value calculated from the secondary data, the comparative opportunity value comprising a risk to the supply chain of an imbalance, based upon at least the risk of insufficient supply across the at least two supply chain nodes, for at least two different elements of the supply chain emanating from the at least two supply chain nodes; and a plurality of data outputs, comprising:
an output from the software comparator module of cascaded supply chain risk data, including the comparative opportunity value, accounting for the risk of the insufficient supply across a cascade of the at least two different elements across the at least two supply chain nodes;
a computing display of the secondary data in a bubble chart having bubbles sized relatively to the comparative opportunity values calculated for the at least two different items such that the bubbles are selectable to a user in order to view a recommended optimization of the cascade by changes in either the at least two different elements or the at least two supply chain nodes, wherein the bubble chart further comprises an additional bubble that is selectable by the user to view an analytics window, wherein the analytics window is launched based on the selection of the user, wherein the analytics window comprises graphical and textual data.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
