Abstract
A detecting device includes a plurality of detection electrodes extending in a first direction along a substrate and disposed apart from each other in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and a plurality of dummy electrodes provided between the detection electrodes. The detection electrodes each have a plurality of openings.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A detecting device comprising
detection electrodes arranged in a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction, the detection electrodes each having four sides, wherein each of the four sides has a recess portion and a protrusion, the recess portion and the protrusion are alternately and continuously arranged in the first direction, and a plurality of the protrusions arranged in the first direction in one of the detection electrodes face a plurality of the protrusions of another one of the detection electrodes adjacent to the one of the detection electrodes in the second direction.
2 . The detecting device according to claim 1 , wherein
the detection electrodes are arranged in a matrix.
3 . The detecting device according to claim 1 , wherein
each of the detection electrodes has a square-like shape.
4 . The detecting device according to claim 1 , wherein
each of the recess portions of one of the detection electrodes has a circular arc shape along a first virtual circle and is recessed toward inside the one of the detection electrodes; and each of the protrusions of the one of the detection electrodes has a circular arc shape along a second virtual circle and protrudes toward outside the one of the detection electrodes.
5 . The detecting device according to claim 1 , wherein
a radius of the recess portions is smaller than a radius of the protrusions.
6 . A detecting device comprising
detection electrodes arranged in a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction, the detection electrodes each having four sides, wherein each of the four sides has a recess portion and a protrusion, the recess portion and the protrusion are alternately and continuously arranged in the first direction, and a plurality of the protrusions arranged in the first direction in one of the detection electrodes face a plurality of the recess portions of another one of the detection electrodes adjacent to the one of the detection electrodes in the second direction.
7 . The detecting device according to claim 6 , wherein
the detection electrodes are arranged in a matrix.
8 . The detecting device according to claim 6 , wherein
each of the detection electrodes has a square-like shape.
9 . The detecting device according to claim 6 , wherein
each of the recess portions of one of the detection electrodes has a circular arc shape along a first virtual circle and is recessed toward inside the one of the detection electrodes; and each of the protrusions of the one of the detection electrodes has a circular arc shape along a second virtual circle and protrudes toward outside the one of the detection electrodes.
10 . The detecting device according to claim 6 , wherein
a radius of the recess portions is smaller than a radius of the protrusions.
11 . A display device comprising:
pixel electrodes; and common electrodes opposed to the pixel electrodes and arranged in a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction, the common electrodes each having four sides, wherein each of the four sides has a recess portion and a protrusion, the recess portion and the protrusion are alternately and continuously arranged in the first direction, and a plurality of the protrusions of the one of the common electrodes arranged in the first direction in one of the common electrodes face a plurality of the protrusions of another one of the common electrodes adjacent to the one of the common electrodes in the second direction.
12 . The display device according to claim 11 , wherein
the common electrodes are arranged in a matrix.
13 . The display device according to claim 11 , wherein
each of the common electrodes has a square-like shape.
14 . The display device according to claim 11 , wherein
each of the recess portions of one of the common electrodes has a circular arc shape along a first virtual circle and is recessed toward inside the one of the common electrodes; and each of the protrusions of the one of the common electrodes has a circular arc shape along a second virtual circle and protrudes toward outside the one of the common electrodes.
15 . The display device according to claim 11 , wherein
a radius of the recess portions is smaller than a radius of the protrusions.
16 . A display device comprising
common electrodes arranged in a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction, the common electrodes each having four sides, wherein each of the four sides has a recess portion and a protrusion, the recess portion and the protrusion are alternately and continuously arranged in the first direction, and a plurality of the protrusions arranged in the first direction in one of the common electrodes face a plurality of the recess portions of another one of the common electrodes adjacent to the one of the common electrodes in the second direction.
17 . The display device according to claim 16 , wherein
the common electrodes are arranged in a matrix.
18 . The display device according to claim 16 , wherein
each of the common electrodes has a square-like shape.
19 . The display device according to claim 16 , wherein
each of the recess portions of one of the common electrodes has a circular arc shape along a first virtual circle and is recessed toward inside the one of the common electrodes; and each of the protrusions has a circular arc shape along a second virtual circle and protrudes toward outside the one of the common electrodes.
20 . The detecting device according to claim 16 , wherein
a radius of the recess portions is smaller than a radius of the protrusions.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
