Abstract

Various embodiments provide an asset management distributed ledger system for capturing, storing, and providing access to asset information/data. For example, the distributed ledger system may capture and store asset information/data that provides a complete record of an asset and further provide access to the asset information/data via an IUI or search function of the distributed ledger system.

1 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a node computing entity of a distributed ledger system, license or sale agreement information for a particular license or sale agreement of an asset, wherein the license or sale agreement information comprises at least one of (a) an asset identifier, (b) an assignor identifier, (c) an assignee identifier, (d) a licensee identifier, (e) a licensor identifier, (f) an agreement effective date, (g) an agreement expiration date, or (h) agreement terms; executing, by the node computing entity, a smart contract based at least in part on the license or sale agreement information, wherein executing the smart contract comprises executing a transaction in accordance with the smart contract based at least in part on the license or sale agreement information; and recording, by the node computing entity, transaction information corresponding to the transaction in a distributed ledger of the distributed ledger system.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the license or sale agreement information is received via user interaction with a fillable form provided via an interactive user interface of executing on a user computing entity.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction comprises an exchange of a digital asset from a licensee or an assignee to a licensor or an assignor of the license or sale agreement.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction comprises causing an exchange of a fiat currency or commodity currency from a licensee or an assignee to a licensor or an assignor of the particular license or sale agreement.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising, responsive to receiving a request for the transaction information, the request initiated by a user interacting with an interactive user interface of executing on a user computing entity:
accessing the transaction information from a distributed ledger; identifying one or more elements of the transaction information that are permitted to be provided based at least in part on a permissions setting associated with the asset and a user profile corresponding to the user; and providing at least one of the one or more elements of the transaction information that are permitted to be provided such that the user computing entity (a) receives the one or more elements of the transaction information for presentation, and causes display of the at least one of the one or more elements.

6 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the permissions setting associated with the asset is determined based at least in part on at least one of (a) a current status of the asset or (b) a type of the asset.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving a request for a summary of similar license or sale agreements that are similar to the particular license or sale agreement, the request generated in response to user interaction with an interactive user interface of executing on a user computing entity; accessing transaction information for a plurality of transactions, each transaction corresponding to license or sale agreement that is similar to the particular license or sale agreement; generating the summary of license or sale agreements based at least in part on the accessed transaction information; and providing the summary of license or sale information such that the user computing entity receives the summary of license or sale information, the user computing entity configured to provide the summary of license or sale information via the interactive user interface, wherein the summary of license or sale information comprises anonymized license or sale information that the user is not permitted to access in a non-anonymized manner.

8 . The method of claim 8 , wherein anonymized license or sale information are license or sale information that does not include information identifying at least one of the IP asset, licensee, assignee, licensor, or assignor.

9 . A node computing entity of a distributed ledger system, the node computing entity comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium and one or more processors, the node computing entity configured to:
receive license or sale agreement information for a particular license or sale agreement of an asset, wherein the license or sale agreement information comprises at least one of (a) an asset identifier, (b) an assignor identifier, (c) an assignee identifier, (d) a licensee identifier, (e) a licensor identifier, (f) an agreement effective date, (g) an agreement expiration date, or (h) agreement terms; execute a smart contract based at least in part on the license or sale agreement information, wherein executing the smart contract comprises executing a transaction in accordance with the smart contract based at least in part on the license or sale agreement information; and record transaction information corresponding to the transaction in a distributed ledger of the distributed ledger system.

10 . The node computing entity of claim 9 , wherein the license or sale agreement information is received via user interaction with a fillable form provided via an interactive user interface of executing on a user computing entity.

11 . The node computing entity of claim 9 , wherein the transaction comprises an exchange of a digital asset from a licensee or an assignee to a licensor or an assignor of the license or sale agreement.

12 . The node computing entity of claim 9 , wherein the transaction comprises causing an exchange of a fiat currency or commodity currency from a licensee or an assignee to a licensor or an assignor of the particular license or sale agreement.

13 . The node computing entity of claim 9 , wherein the node computing entity is further configured to:
access the transaction information from a distributed ledger; identify one or more elements of the transaction information that are permitted to be provided based at least in part on a permissions setting associated with the asset and a user profile corresponding to the user; and provide at least one of the one or more elements of the transaction information that are permitted to be provided such that the user computing entity (a) receives the one or more elements of the transaction information for presentation, and causes display of the at least one of the one or more elements.

14 . The node computing entity of claim 13 , wherein the permissions setting associated with the asset is determined based at least in part on at least one of (a) a current status of the asset or (b) a type of the asset.
