Abstract

A pre-fabricated frame for enclosing a space alongside a wall and finishing as a wall extension, consists of a front panel and one or more side panels, the panels comprising a grid surface for frictional adhesion thereto of cement for wall cladding. A bottom-facing extension of the front or side panels allows for fixing to a floor.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A pre-fabricated frame for enclosing a space alongside a wall and finishing as a wall extension, the pre-fabricated frame comprising:
a front panel and at least one side panel, the panels comprising a grid surface, the grid surface configured for frictional adhesion thereto of cement for wall cladding, wherein said front panel comprises a water opening for accessing an inlet water pipe and waste water pipe of a toilet cistern, at least one support opening for accommodating a supporting structure extending from the toilet cistern, said supporting structure configured for mounting and supporting a toilet bowl and seat of the toilet to said toilet cistern; and a bottom-facing extension of at least one of said front and side panels for fixing to a floor; wherein the prefabricated frame is injection molded.

2 . The prefabricated frame of claim 1 , sized and dimensioned as a cover for a toilet cistern, the toilet cistern mounted on a backup wall.

3 . The prefabricated frame of claim 2 , wherein said front panel and said side panels together define an enclosure configured for encasing the toilet cistern against at least the back-up wall.

         4 . The prefabricated frame of claim 1 ,
wherein said front panel comprises an actuator opening for accessing an actuator of the toilet cistern for flushing the toilet.

         5 . The prefabricated frame of claim 2 ,
wherein said side panels include a mounting opening through which a floor mounting stand of said toilet cistern may extend and at least one fixing structure for mounting the cover against the backup wall.

6 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 4 , wherein the toilet cistern is supported on said wall, and said supporting structure is configured for supporting weight of a toilet seat of the toilet through said wall.

7 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 1 , wherein said front panel is integral with said side panels.

8 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 1 , wherein the front panel is fixed onto said side panels.

9 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 1 , comprising a polymer material.

         10 . (canceled)

11 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 1 , wherein said grid comprises a plurality of through going holes defined between bars, the holes and bars providing footholds for cement.

12 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 11 , wherein bar sections surrounding selected ones of individual holes are recessed.

13 . The prefabricated frame of claim 12 , wherein said selected individual holes are selected according to a regular pattern in said grid.

14 . The prefabricated frame of claim 13 , wherein the pattern is chosen to ensure that at least one recessed hole is provided for each one of ceramic tiles used for cladding, the tiles being of a predetermined size.

15 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 1 , comprising reinforcing ribs, the reinforcing ribs forming triangles.

16 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 1 , comprising at least one fixing structure.

17 . The prefabricated frame of claim 16 , wherein said fixing structure comprises a plurality of screw holes configured for receiving screws for fixing the frame against the backup wall and/or onto the floor.

18 . The prefabricated frame according to claim 16 , where said fixing structure is a plurality of hooks configured to hook onto a mating element on the backup wall.

19 . A prefabricated frame for a toilet cistern mounted on a backup wall, the prefabricated frame being injection molded and comprising:
a front panel and side panels extending around said front panel, wherein said front panel and said side panels together define an enclosure configured for encasing the built-in toilet cistern against at least the back-up wall, wherein said front panel comprises a water opening for accessing an inlet water pipe and waste water pipe of the built-in toilet cistern, and an actuator opening for accessing an actuator of the built-in toilet cistern for flushing the toilet, and at least one support opening for accommodating a supporting structure extending from the toilet cistern, said supporting structure configured for mounting and supporting a toilet bowl and seat of the toilet to said toilet cistern wherein said side panels include a bottom facing side panel with a mounting opening through which a floor mounting stand of said built-in toilet cistern may extend and at least one fixing structure for mounting the cover against the backup wall, and wherein at least one of said front panel and said side panel comprises a grid for support of a wall finish.

20 . A method for cladding over a toilet cistern, the method comprising:
mounting the cistern against a backup wall; mounting a prefabricated frame over the toilet cistern; cladding the prefabricated frame; and connecting said toilet seat and said actuating element, wherein the pre-fabricated frame comprises: a front panel and at least one side panel, the panels comprising a grid surface, the grid surface configured for frictional adhesion thereto of cement for wall cladding, wherein said front panel comprises a water opening for accessing an inlet water pipe and waste water pipe of a toilet cistern, at least one support opening for accommodating a supporting structure extending from the toilet cistern, said supporting structure configured for mounting and supporting a toilet bowl and seat of the toilet to said toilet cistern; and a bottom-facing extension of at least one of said front and side panels for fixing to a floor; wherein the prefabricated frame is injection molded.
