Abstract
A web may include a curvilinear line of weakness comprising a plurality of perforations. Each of the plurality of perforations may be separated by a bond area and each of the plurality of perforations may have a perforation length. Each bond area may have a non-perforation length. At least two of the perforations lengths may be substantially equal.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A web comprising:
a curvilinear line of weakness, the curvilinear line of weakness comprising a plurality of perforations, wherein each of the plurality of perforations is separated by a bond area; wherein each of the plurality of perforations has a perforation length and each bond area has a non-perforation length; and wherein at least two of the perforations lengths are substantially equal.
2 . The web of claim 1 , wherein at least two non-perforation lengths are substantially equal.
3 . The web of claim 1 , wherein each of the perforation lengths of the plurality of perforations are substantially equal.
4 . The web of claim 1 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a peak tensile strength of from about 1% to about 40% less than the peak tensile strength of a straight line of weakness imparted to the web.
5 . The web of claim 1 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a peak tensile strength that is at least about 5% less than the peak tensile strength of a straight line of weakness.
6 . The web of claim 1 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a failure TEA of about 1% to about 50% less than the failure TEA of a straight line of weakness.
7 . The web of claim 1 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a failure TEA of at least about 5% less than the failure TEA of a straight line of weakness.
8 . A web comprising:
a curvilinear line of weakness, the curvilinear line of weakness comprising a plurality of perforations, wherein each of the plurality of perforations is separated by a bond area; wherein each of the plurality of perforations has a perforation length and each bond area has a non-perforation length; and wherein at least two of the non-perforations lengths are substantially equal.
9 . The web of claim 8 , wherein at least two of the perforation lengths are substantially equal.
10 . The web of claim 8 , wherein each of the non-perforation lengths are substantially equal.
11 . The web of claim 8 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a peak tensile strength of from about 1% to about 40% less than the peak tensile strength of a straight line of weakness imparted to the web.
12 . The web of claim 8 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a peak tensile strength that is at least about 5% less than the peak tensile strength of a straight line of weakness.
13 . The web of claim 8 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a failure TEA of about 1% to about 50% less than the failure TEA of a straight line of weakness.
14 . The web of claim 8 , wherein the curvilinear line of weakness has a failure TEA of at least about 5% less than the failure TEA of a straight line of weakness.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
